Late Nights Spent With Jess

Her December skin
Now sweetly rests on my lips
Still taking my breath

Pale moonlit hours spent together
We conversed solely about matters of perfection,
about how it's only a state of one's perception
I didn't tell her then, now I wish I had
That the way her upper lip quivered
as she dug deeper into her soul
for answers to the questions her
body ached for her to ask
would be the very thing to do me in
Everyday now I beg for us to be snowed in
There are so many things I'd love to do with you
or to you...

First, make love to you
Second, make love to your soul
Third, give in to you

I'll lust no longer,
But surrender all I have
To always be yours

Sunrise At the Top of Timpanogos

Then as she left the night and became the morning,
dew rested on her, softening her lips
making way for her tender embrace
Her radiance unsurpassed
filling every crack and crevice with the energy that sustains life and creates joy
The beauty of which is indescribable, lacking any flaw
only raw potential lays ahead
And though she eventually returns from where she came, sure as the night she'll bring back the day
Giving way to the fears of loneliness
Letting all fall astray
