I'Ve...

I've ran from almost every life problem,
without ever trying to solve them.
I've cried over those soldiers who lost their lives,
trying to save all those husbands, children, and wives.
I've sat in school and received my education.
As a child I've been through it all...
And now my friends and family see me stand tall.
And last but not least I've found some people
who I can depend on...
People who will always keep me strong.

Mr.Curtis

I am tired of living up to peoples expectations.
Do I have the qualifications to be your daughter?
Why even bother to try?
Why can't people have some patience
or even a little more confidence in me,
cuz you'll see later on...I will be gone,
Making my life better than yours,
making myself the best that I can be.
Can't you see that I do want your advice,
but you can't make the choice on my decisions.
I feel like you are trying to make
an incision into my soul
and change all my goals.
I'm tired of this life of mine.
I need to change this life of mine into bliss,
cuz I want freedom.
I need to take a couple steps back
and see what kind of track I am walking.
I hear you talking
'bout how I'm not such a great person
as people think.
You need to look in the mirror,
cuz you don't have such a perfect career either.
Neither you nor I are perfect ones in this world.
Gee, Mr.Curtis, if you really think about it,
your whole life's a lie.
-sigh- huh.

Depression

Crying, shaking, hurting.
I am scared.
Dark, cold, lonely.
I feel the agonizing pain.

Scared

I cry alone, scared.
Scared of my thoughts and feelings.
I hide my thoughts and feelings,
...from those who are numb and dull.

Journey

My journey begins now...in this shrinks office.
She says I need help to deal with my life.
If I needed someones help I would ask...
but I didn't ask dang it.
Just leave me alone.
I can handle it by myself.
This is MY journey, not yours.
I'm walking my own path...
why don't you walk yours?
I sit there staring at the floor, wishing
I could tell her to screw off,
but I can't that would be rude.
I don't want or need your advice so leave
me the heck alone won't you?
I walked this road fine with the help of
my loving friends, though there were many
bumps, curves, and dead ends, I made
it through somehow...
without your help i might add.
I'm perfectly fine...normal...I swear.
Just go find someone to help other than me...
someone who's in need.
Please, I began this horrid journey,
so let me end it by myself.

My Star

Every night I stare at the same star wondering if your staring at it too.
Come to think about it I think I'm going to name it after you.
You and the star are quite the same,
that's why I am giving it your name.
It sparkles when the moon hits it just right,
as do your eyes when you hold me tight.
It's always there when you need it to be
and you to are always here for me.
It's always in the night sky shining brightly.
Just like you, no matter how sad you may be.
So every time I think of you my love, I look at that star
and remember your not that very far.
