The Hidden Friendship
The more I get to know you, the more I realize
That our friendship has always been there
Even if we didn’t notice.
It was there, silent but obvious, just not to us.
It was floating, above our heads, we just never saw it
As it was invisible to us.
Others may have seen it, because they knew it was there
They just never said much about it.
Maybe it was because they knew
That eventually, in our own way,
In our own time,
That we would find it.
And once we did, we would hold it close..
Close to our hearts
Forever..
