Haunting Memories

Those midnight texts living in my phone
The silly emoticon chats
Those Pic-mixed photos living in my memory card
Those comments, likes, posts living on my facebook wall
The silly arguments, talking about nothing

The poems I wrote for you
The quotes we made and lived by
The stories we made up
The promised future
The well kept secrets
All live in my pad

You were my inspiration, my muse
You became my writing
My stories and poems were you
My writing revolved around the us we were
It was all you

Now I am surrounded by all these remains
I am left to be haunted by the memories they carry
Cliche as it is, I wish I had amnesia
I wish to erase all these daunting memories that haunt me

Happiness, That's All

"Our Father which art in heaven... "
That's how I started off
I never missed my night and morning prayers
I read the bible and followed the commandments
I confessed all my sins and I have repented
I went to sabbath as often as I could
But nothing

I burnt incense and lit candles
I wore robes and gave away my worldly possessions
I slaughtered animals
I brought my offerings to alters
I have drank, bathed in and sprinkled the holy water
I have been baptised with the water, fire and holy spirit
Wished upon falling stars, 11:11, wishbones
And still nothing

I have given up the party life
I fasted for forty days and nights
I have given you my blood
I devoted my life to you
I have given you my soul, body and mind
I have given up my all and more
But still nothing

God, can't you hear me?
I don't ask for much,
Just happiness that is not fleeting
A little more than a moment of laughter
A grin instead of a crack of a smile
Lend me your ear and hear my prayers and answer
Is that too much to ask for?

God, can you really not hear me?
Have my sins been so much that there's not even a case to plead?
Am I such a bad person that you can't even listen to me?
Try as I might, you still haven't answered
Can you not hear me?
Well, I beg of you for the last time
Please, bless me with happiness that isn't fleeting

From the Heart's By-Products

'Tis sad...
I'm scared that I'm mad,
'Tis bad.
When I heard that you fled
My heart bled,
Hope that you're glad.
Can't close my eye, hope you realize.

Thought you were mine, what a fool
Said our future would intertwine, we would rule
Our dreams would combine
Guess it was just the wine
Pure lies
Told me "Baby, we'll fly to the skies,
Touch the stars,
Raise bars,
Invade Mars" Do you remember?

I prayed hard,
Sounded like a coward ,
Acted like a retard ,
Never wanting to be without you.
Then out of the blue,
Even before I knew
Like in the day morning dew...
What happened dude?

Time lost in vain,
Left alone with the pain.
Wet, not from rain.
What did you gain?
I'm the only one insane,
You're to blame
I know it's lame
Doesn't even have a name
Damn I hate this game.

She beams
Fulfilled her dreams
In total bliss
Her life is swiss
You've reached your destination
Now hold your celebration!

Letter To Uriah

Like the sun to the world,
You are my light.
Like spinach to Popeye,
You are my might.
You are my star, moon and everything right.
