Interrogation
by JD DeHart
Bright spotlight
displays the quiver
and sullying squirm
of bare blood red humanity,
pushed back in the chair,
beaten for truth.

Cute
by JD DeHart
They practice variations:
That IS cute
THAT is cute
That is CUTE
I marvel at their odor
of new shoes, how their reason
for being seemed to be wrapped
up in cash register rings,
how they travel in a squad
of quick hands and uneven
hips, squealing at each item.

Jd Dehart Poem
Nothing to the Imagination
by JD DeHart

recalling Gilda, then the sash
then the dress
then the rest until she had
even removed herself and we
searched through fallen robes
to no avail.
