Mom

Strong black woman
Not like other mothers
She always lend a helping hand
I love you mom

My mom is very special to me
And I wouldn't ask for anyone better
I want the whole world to see
That my mom is special, through sun or stormy weather

I wish I could stop and help her
When she stresses or feels down
To show her that I really care
And wipe away her frown

I love you mom
I wish you could see
All the joy and happiness
That you bring to me!

Love, No Limits

Love has no limits
It's patient and kind
It can can take over your body
and sometimes control your mind
It is unconditional and fair
never losing sight of what's real
This is a feeling I wish everyone could feel
For this feeling never leaves
If it's real, it's always present
Stealing away your heart like thieves
and being and amazing blessing
I am a victim of love
this one thing is true
I pray to the man above
that I will one day get the chance to say, "I do"

Love Always

,

Laying in bed all alone, wishing I could be near you. To hold your hand and to be someone you can talk to. I know it hasn't been long since you have been with me, but I love you I hope this you can see. You're what I truly want and you are all that I need. If I didn't have you, my life would be incomplete. I'll wait for you forever no matter how long we're apart. Baby in your hands, you'll always hold my heart.

Love Always,

I Dare

I dare you to take that step
I dare you to show what you're about
I dare you to live without regrets
I dare you to lose your doubts
I dare you to love without fear
I dare you to never lose faith
I dare you to erase your tears
I dare you to love more than you hate
I dare you to let go and fall
I dare you to say what's true
But most of all,
I dare you to find the real you!

Untitled

Raindrops falling
Each holding something different
Loud or soft thumps talking
On my window sill drenched

Every drop falling in a different spot
Replacing the last
Leaving a remarkable, but unnoticeable dot
Making it significant to the past

First, the drops fell lightly and quiet
Without any noise
Now, it's louder and more violent
Pounding so hard like a roar

After a while the sun comes out
Drying the raindrops like tears
Maybe it was God who was in pain and doubt
Because he sees the way we treat one another and cries because of fear.

Determination

Something's trying to hold me back
From succeeding and accomplishing my dreams
I try to keep them from turning black
And put in my head that it's not as hard as it may seem
No more pain, no more stress
to ever again enter my heart
All of my problems need to be addressed
And now is the time to start
I stretch and reach as far as I can
But I get nothing
I cry in need of a helping hand
But still, I get nothing
I reach deep inside
To give me the strength that I need
I'm NOT gonna run away and hide
From doing what I gotta do for me

Circles

Walking around in circles
searching for the light
hoping that one day
I will finally win this fight

Constant battle
between me,, myself and I
Trying to fight the urge
to just break down and cry

No escape, no hideaway
no way of being excused
from the nightmares, scares
haunting and abuse

Clock ticking, I'm halfway through
the thing called circle of life
I put on the mask to hide the pain
that makes everything seem right.

I Am What I Am

I am what I am
when you see me at school
I am what I am
Geeky or cool
I am what I am
When I talk and joke around
I am what I am
whether it's crazy or a clown
I am what I am
ugly or pretty
I am what I am
full of joy or calamity
I am what I am
standing as tall as a tree
I am what I am
and that is........me!

Loving You

If ever there were two
It would be me and you
If ever there was a woman that was happy with a man
I would be her, satisfying you doing what I can
I treasure our love more than silver and gold
Or anything wonderful that my heart can hold
My love is stronger than any weighted bench
Nothing but your love can give me recompense
Let's make our love last forever
And continue our love on, ever and ever

Flying

Sometimes I feel I can fly
Above the clouds
Feeling my spirits lifted so high
Away from the cynical and tyrannical crowds

I feel my worries disappear
As my head clears of all the pain
Then I feel love and happiness near
Finally rescuing me from all of this rain

Floating in the sky
Body weightless, as light as a feather
A shooting star passes me by
I close my eyes, wishing everyone peace and love forever
