Sprinaple

Sprinaple

Running back and forth. Not stopping
to take a breath. Carrying delicate bottles.
Scared to go too fast or to drop them

Maneuvering through people of all sizes big,
Little, fat, skinny. "Excuse me. Pardon me," I say
as I weave ever so slightly through
The crowd.

I reach the table in the middle of a fluster
of people. They greed for more and they do
not stop no matter what I say. Sprinaple. I pour
the bottles into the bowl. Almost instantaneously we
are out. I go back to get more. Sprinaple.

Sweat dripping from my face. Running fast, to fast.
I slip and fall. Dropping the bottles. They break and
I tumble into the puddle. I have failed. A friend is
there to help me up."thank you." I say. We are going
to need more sprinaple
