Scorching, Danger
Blazes, Burns, Melts
Torch, Bonfire, Snowflakes, Icebergs

Mark Lucas Poem
It's been a year since my heart started ticking
Though the girl I loved wasn't mine for the picking
Other boys with their digital hearts
Showed their love before I could start
Being around her was very hard to do
For the face of my heart to her was new
I tried so hard for my tick to be heard
But even if it was she'd be deterred
She tried her best to snooze her heart
And wait a couple more years for it to start
So now, hurting, I sit and wait
Watching as more boys test their fate
The gears in my heart grind with pain
My face masks it well so it isn't plain
She deserves a world more than me, I know
But the tick in my heart never will slow

Mark Lucas Poem
The robot of seasons flies fast through the sky
He soars overland with his single bright eye
The ice and the snow both melt in his gaze
Or as the old call it "the earth's son's rays"
After zooming across the sky every day
The engine of the robot starts to delay
Days get shorter and nights grow long
Leaves of the trees aren't where they belong
The robot of seasons starts to cry
For he doesn't seem to make a difference up in the sky
His tears started to freeze and cover the trees
With snow that floats in the breeze of his wheeze
Distracted by sadness the robot did crash
Covering the world with the familiar rehash
A spring from the crash flew up like a flare
And all could see that Spring is in the Air

Mark Lucas Poem
The woman of his heart was named Jane
Some would say she was quite plain
But in Jacks heart
She was sweet and tart
Together they sailed through the rain

Mark Lucas Poem
Jack worked all day cutting trees
His parents were not very pleased
Though he was not bad
This made him sad
So he decided to take to the seas

Mark Lucas Poem
This is not the end of Jacks tale
He soon found a love to sail
He’d come upon a shore
Help those who were poor
Knowing with love he could never fail

Mark Lucas Poem
When Jack and Jane took off from land
They were followed by a man who was quite grand
He got to their ship
And caused it to flip
Then robbed both of all their rand
