Gentle Harbinger

Musing on this life of mine Alone I wonder if it's time? Robin sings in my heart Fluttering wings like cupid's dart. Have been hurt, no doubt caused pain Hearing robin's song again Before I journey who knows where? Know angelic wings will take me there. The time has come and gone again I'm stoic now what's left to gain The universe will keep me here Perhaps a day, perhaps a year. A harbinger called to seal my fate My gentle songbird set no date Listen carefully you might hear Angelic music have no fear.

Breath of Fresh Air

Breath of fresh air is what I need Where is that dog? where is that lead? Need to blow all cobwebs away We're off right now we won't delay Ocean is calling salt on my skin Waves are rolling seagulls skim Skimming the waves a joy to see Dog is barking he does agree. High on the cliff, we enjoy the sight Webs blown away all is right Inner strength I begin to feel Spring in my step so very real Navigate ladder down to beach Dog finds freedom he's now unleashed Seaweed, and pebbles a pretty shell Until next time a fond farewell.

Winding Path

My solitary self was needing space Fortunately know just the place Walking briskly soon be there Gulping breath of pure fresh air. Winding path, know it well Soon be in heaven away from hell Hill is steep with twists and turns Far away from worldly concerns. Puffing, panting pinnacle reached Now all worries can be unleashed Under dome of azure blue sky White clouds sail, I softly sigh. Winding path a simple test Knowledge eventually will manifest Golden time with vast universe Doubt swept away from things adverse. Arura Borealis

When the solar winds stir magic Unleashed beauty a riot of colour It undulates and swells, ecstatic In darkness I stand and wonder Colours sublime capture my mind Turmoil of life far, far away Life on hold not counting time Arura Borealis forever and a day

Youthful

Yesterday when I was in youthful prime Questioning nothing the whole world was mine Without fear, I met each and every day Wish it were possible to stay that way. Decades have sped by and now in old age Memories abound with me they engage As my eyesight grows dim recall is bright Love burns with passion it did not take flight. Alone but not lonely each day must face Youthful echoes I willingly embrace Each hour my mind wanders to far-off years I smile remembering no time for tears.
