Black Backs

Blood from blue bullets sours the concrete
Black backs are refuge for lead seeking a place to rest
Justice was kidnapped by metal shields surrounded in blue
No one cares. The value of those black backs are anyone’s guess

We protest with violence which leaves our voices silent
Images of angry thugs flickers in the eyes of the suppressor
Really.. I see a mother drowning in sorrow
Who has lost her child forever

Look mommy…look Look at the strange fruit that fell from the tree
Lying on the pavement that which resembles me
They used to take pictures and publish them in the papers
Now we take pictures and they publishing them in the papers

How ironic.. we are broadcasting our own death
Worldstar..we are uploading our last breathe
At least those that act out in violence are angry
While those that watch the videos only find it entertaining

Mr. Man in blue.. I beseech you please do not disturb your holster
My feeble flesh is no match against the rage that you muster
Last I check I was man. Not wild prey lurking behind concrete trees
You do not have a license to kill my will and bring me to my knees

My black skin will NOT be your target
We will no longer allow it.
When war comes to your home and rest assure it will
It will be black skin rendering judgment for the suffering you instilled.
