Love and Hate

Love and Hate

You say you love me ,

Yet, i hate the way your eyes say i am a disappointment.

I hate the way your eyes say I don't love you as you are, for who you are.

I hate the way I feel empty and worthless in your eyes.

I hate the way I crave to be loved, I hate the way it masters me.

I hate not being able to not care, not to harden my heart and make it cold as ice.

Leave me alone and let me be.

Love me as I am is all I ask of you.

But that shall never be.

Pity.

I feel sorry for you, sorry that you cannot see past your judgmental garbage .

Pity that it comes from those who should love you unconditionally.

Too bad, so sad, time to move on. I don't need you.

My King

< You ask why am I so good to thee?.
I reply, "How can I not be".

How can I not be good to my king when thy captures the sun and lays it at my doorstep each morn.

Though it may be cloudy and starless, thy puts the stars in my eyes so that i may gaze upon them in the night sky until i surrender to dreams of thee.

My king has found the broken pieces of my heart and with thy touch has made it whole again and thy kiss has filled it with love that overflows and walls cannot contain.

My king has brought purpose to my existence .

My king has brought me to thy chambers and loved me with thy body, thy mind, thy soul and thy heart.

You ask why am i so good to thee?
    I reply,"How can i not be".

My king has bestowed upon me his kingdom.
I humble myself and on bended knee your queen pledges her undying love and devotion to thee.

You Ask, I Reply

< You ask, " How long will you love me"

    I reply, " A lifetime and more".

You ask. " How long will you be true to me".

I reply, " As long as a rose is a rose".

Take It Upon Yourself

< Take it upon yourself to remove the stars from heaven.

Take it upon yourself to remove the sun from shining and dry up the ocean blue for your caprice.

Take it upon yourself to ridicule what was given at great cost and not recognize the value of the sacrifice.

Take it upon yourself to thrust the dagger deep into the flesh and watch the rich crimson blood as it flows down against the soft white breast.

Take it upon yourself to gaze into the eyes of your prey as you softly kiss her lips goodbye.

Take it upon yourself as you leave your calling card.

Remove your disguise and show yourself oh prince of darkness, for the light has found you out.

But fear not, your secret is safe with me, I cannot breathe a word, for my heart you have removed.

What Is True Love

< Love encompasses all aspects of our lives.

Many nay sayers will state that it destroys lives, and albeit it has destroyed a many, it was not love itself but all the emotions that ensue once love is lost that starts the downward spiral that leads to destruction.

Love itself in it's purest form, unconditional, unadulterated, is the ultimate aphrodisiac in all its glory.

It is what operas sing about, what stories are written about, what love songs dream about.

Such love is hard to come by, a rare commodity.

It is a treasure that has been sought after since the existence of man.

Why? What is true love that the world is forever searching for and cannot find nor keep?

Love is a feeling an emotion, a cry deep in your heart to connect to another heart.

True love alongside the aforementioned is a choice. A choice to love when times are hard, when times are bleak and dismal.

True love is a choice to fight till the end. True love demands warriors.

True love is being transparent, being open to the possibility that you will be wounded to the core of your very soul and still cry out, I love you.

True love is not for the faint of heart, it is for the brave, the daring, the strong, the romantics, the dreamers and yes, the fools.

Contemplating life without true love is contemplating life without a heart. Impossible.

I Wish

"I wish this I wish that , I wish , I wish , I wish. Stop wishing !!!!!! Wishing is wanting things to be different without putting in the time and effort to make it happen . It's a half hearted pretentious insulting attempt to replace the truth . If you truly believe and want something , stop saying I wish and make it happen ."

Behind the Shadows, Around the Corners, and Through the Alleyways of Our Hearts

< It hides behind the shadows, around the corner and through the alleyways of our hearts afraid to surface lest it be called upon to show itself and bare its soul.

It lays alone and lonely, well hidden behind its fears. Nonetheless, it desperately attempts to search its way slowly, carefully around the corners, through the alleyways and into the face of possibilities.

Should it chance the daring escapade?

Should it be discovered, will it be laughed at and ridiculed or betrayed and banished back to the empty void where it came from , to weep silently forevermore or will it be cherished and embraced in the protective cocoon if its soul mate.

It need but a trickle of hope to enter our hearts for love to emerge. With each precious drop, it gains strength and courage until it no longer desires to remain in seclusion hiding behind the shadows, around the corner and through the alleyways of our hearts.

What's In the Heart

< The mind cannot conceive what the heart contains within.

Deep in the fold of it's covering, are layers yet to emerge and be discovered.

A hidden treasure once captured ever so gently, much like a spider's web spun to

    catch its prey.

The tenderness of starkissed lips and moonlight dreams, awakens the sleeping

creature that for far too long has remained unnoticed, invisible.

What mystery is this, that you , a stranger, can arise a dormant force, yet

strength was never used, no words were ever spoken.

The power of your soul set free a captive heart.

What Is Life

< what is life? A number of years? A passage through this world? A waiting game? A series of repetitive actions, get up go to work, come home , go to sleep?. Raise a family, go on vacations, get old?

All of the above , sometimes some of the above. At the end of the day, when you open the door and walk into your home and say honey i'm home and no one is there to respond, what is life if the eerie silence is deafening. If the heart aches a little more each night.

What do you do when you lay in bed at night. close your eyes and think of chances not taken, of the what if's pounding in your mind. The regrets, the possibilities overlooked. What guarantee do any of us have that we are allotted a great number of years.

Life is a learning experience, where we grow and teach and share , give and take, love and lose but through it all it is insignificant if love did not direct our path. Life is love. Search it, it is oxygen for the soul. Search it near and far, put no limitations, no restrictions . Open wide the door , and when it comes knocking, welcome it with open arms.

Life , grab it and cherish it for what is life but a vapor.
