Hope

A cup of cold tea
A hungry dog begging for attention
A crying baby
Flower petals begin to bloom

Graduation

As I walk this road
Down campus life
In perpetual mode
Will I be a wife?

Bitter roads ahead
Made of highs and lows
Hanging out with friends
Throwing little blasted blows

Dare I write a book
or graduate
Give me credit here
In my gleaning state

Don't let this mind die
In a cold dark room
Quiet the impatience
Of my glorious doom

Give me cheers not jeers
Clapping hands all day
Sewing in tears
Is the price one pays

Beneath the black caps
Flooding from the sky
Sitting to and fro
Do I dare not sigh

Had I not fought hard
Through those bleakful days
I'd have sunk beneath the heads
In the Spring of May

Elusive Love

Long lazy days
Cool summer nights
Skipping along
Flying emotional kites

My eyes gaze your way
Is it really you
A fluttering hope
Leaving me blue

My heart skips a beat
How do I compare
Eyes down to feet
A flower in my hair

Why do I fall short
In your eyes
Why am I not beautiful
A criminal, I surmise

Abandoned and alone
Laying on my bed
Waiting for an answer
A long foreboding dread

The subject of a study
To figure out a crime
Poetry in my heart
An eternal rhyme

Searching for love
Strength and power
We fit like a glove
Be my lover

Wistfully dreaming
The day good bye
Darkness prevails
I breath a deep sigh

I wish i could die

He Reigns

His hazel gaze
On a barren land
Her empty stomach
And hungry stand

A fertile field
An enduring belief
Precious exalted
And dwelling bequeath

Breathe in breathe out
Live laugh love
The plea of the needy
Comes from above

Swift streams cease as
The harvest trembles
The desert dwells
In noble justice

The sun shouts
The moon waits
The darkness veils
The floodgates

Summer In Milan

Picking the cherry stems to eat
Viewing the monkeys running round
The small things in life
Feeling caldo on this ground

Anonymity

Strands of pearls
Red lips
Gold curls
Evergreen eyes
She's her disguise

Victory

You will see me someday
Seeing only the truth
The open wound deep inside
Despairing I hide

The growing bitter bed
Together apart we wed
You will see and obey
Its not your way

Like a raw raisin pit
I won't miss you one bit
You'll wish you could see
I will be happy

Wellsprings of water
Drawing deep will rise
You'll miss me
I surmise

You will walk the silted sand
With bags in hand
Upon the realization
I can

Reach the depths of despair without you
And find a smile in my heart.
