On the Razors Edge

If pain is an illusion then why does it cut so deep, like the razors edge it etches itself further and further leaving reminders of sins long past. And as each melancholy day passes us by we drag our selves further down into the dark abyss that is depression. Yet with each passing shadow comes a shaft of light to reach for but as the droplets of blood fall from the razors edge we slowly find ourselves back into the sad tale of monotony. With a slow pitter patter like rain we walk down a path of least resistance and yet cry out for more and as the next bright light passes new life is found. The hand now holds not a razor but a pen and where once was a reminder of a sin long forgotten now rests a flower beautifuly drawn.

Of Men, and Shadows

Pen to page in a flurry of swirling magic, the words flow like a stream as all folds out before you like a dream scape. First a drop falling upon nothing that begins a grand cascade as the world itself expands beneath it. Grand oceans expand over the endless expanse, crashing against great landmasses rich with life and beauty. An eruption of flora, filled with fauna that dart and dash about with glee. The pen stops and as the one holding it opens eyes alight with creative vision all is not as it seems....All is not well.

All about the creator shadows fall and fly crashing and creating things of their own and even as they creep closer the brilliant white light of creation begins to flicker and become red. All around the creator the world changes becoming dark and damaged as the creatures of shadow writhe and close the gap. Then a claw grasps onto the creator as they pull themselves from the shadows showing themselves for only a moment.

As quickly as they came they were gone in a flurry of shadow, all that remains is a chair white and strong and a bottle next to a page that now lies blank once more.....The shadows abated...for the moment

Lament For Days Past

Time heals all wounds, I remember the first time I heard those bitter laced words oh so many years ago on the day as black as night. I remember now all the things we used to say, and all the places we used to go without a care in the world. I remember my days as your champion, and you my muse, locks of gold and eyes of emerald hues. Eyes that held such strength and yet great need as we made our way through the swirling mists of time ever linked by entwined hands. Things have been hard sense your parting and though i miss you every day I look back and wonder.....was it fate?
Was it fate that led you to me on that hot summer day as we took refuge from the heat amides the stores as we boasted and played. I still look back on that day as one of the best of my life, the day I met the orphan who carried the salt of the earth as if it were her own. Its been such a long time now and yet it feels like only yesterday that I held you in my arms as your shining star....And even with you gone I look to the sky in the cool evening air and hope.....That I can be that star you thought of me...and the adult I'm expected to be.

Sands of Light

Life is full of changes as we whisk further into the endless sands of eternity and even as we move forward what can seem desolate by day becomes a dreamscape filled with diamonds by night. Ever shifting, ever flowing they are carried on winds of new beginnings as they seek those whos fortune has been stalled by the harsh light of a sun bent on blindness. Yet further we trek on a quest for answers to questions that have yet to be asked and with every fallen step grow more enlightened in grandmother moons twinkling light....For it is by the stars of this endless desert on which we tread that all will become clear.

Gona Make You Smile

Just another day today, just a day like any other as I lay broken you ask about the weather. My wounds go unseen and my pain unknown for only I see them and not a grimace is shown. I am told that for every smile I will face their wrath yet that's all you see as days pass. oceans of blood poor from cut threads left to fray, yet all you feel is my warmth as I ask about your day. And as you tell me of how it was rotten because of some inconsequential thing so small and I think of my time at the nightmares beck and call. Yet as you sit in your corner oblivious to all that, depressed and grumpy over all the horrible things that plague your near perfectly quiet and safe day. You feel a hand on your shoulder and are greeted with the goofy grin you know so well as I tell a joke and take it all away so that you.....can smile today.

Choices and Sins

You say that you love me, that I am all that stands between you and misery as we wade through the ever rising and falling tides of emotion. You say that for me you would do anything so long as it meant helping me through the long day drawn silent by the cold kiss of disrepair and yet I am left to wonder. Would one with such love harbor such anger? and as we slide through the hourglass of time along the shifting sands of fate I ask why?

I am fighting my way though a maze of twisting turns and winding dead ends in search of answers to your motives. yet as the maze grows darker and its guardians nearer I am left with no option but to flee on wings of feathery down as puzzles still run deep in the chaos of a broken mind left to decay.

Now as two great titans wage war on each other for the well being of one I sit atop a somber hill and watch in shame knowing that in the end a single choice will decide far to much. Yet neither choice is without sin.

Of Magic, and Choices

I've been told that theres no such thing as magic, that such a thing is simply a fairy tale meant for children who are too young to handle the world. I've been told that if magic were real it would be a sin and to practice it would be a slight against god. I've been told that magic is circles and candles in a dark room, that it requires special chants and words of old to evoke the latent powers around us.
Obviously these people have never written a poem, or listened to the song of an artist or gazed at a lovely painting in the pale moonlight. For such things are where true magic lies as with each stroke of a passion tipped pen breads beauty, not sin.
Pen to page in a flurry of mystic energy a world is born of nothing and yet a single drop falls cascading into an endless rippling sea. This world is already started but if i hand you the pen, what will your world be?

The Waking Dream,

Life is such a fickle thing, ever changing and shifting as we are carried upon the down of feathered wings. How often I am greeted with a reminder of mortality's bitter cry only to see the beauty that nearly passed me by. Happiness, pain, all things time will rend as we step carefully through the maze of sins, and even now as I look ahead at the path made clear I fear the others will soon be here. Another left turn fallowed by a right or two as I seek refuge from those whos fun leaves me broken and abused. Footsteps now drawing near, closing the gap and still no end in sight to spare me an attack. Clip-clop the strongest grows near only to grasp feathers as I look back with a sneer, a brilliant light and a flutter of wings carry me out of reach and into the protection...only morning can bring.

Of Choices and Questions

life is a mystery as we walk along the stones of time yet as we tread further ever lead by the threads of fate we are left questioning. weather to stay or to move, to fight or to talk little is made clear yet all is laid out in a labyrinth of twisting turns that we must navigate. Step by step in dimly lit corridors and floors of swirling mist we walk knowing not where and yet with a destination forchosen for us. one left turn leads to a pair of rights as the sands of time flow all around us ever pushing us further and further towards an absolution we can not see. yet there is a light at the end of this journey and though we may never glimpse it we are ever drawn to its warm glow and eternal embrace.

Souls

life is but a fleeting glimmer in the grad stretch of things yet as we weave ever deeper into the tapestry of fate the wear of time quickly begins to frey our threads. Yet onward we trek in an ever fleeting quest for knowledge, for acceptance, for the beating of another heart. In and out of the stream we flow ever moving to eternity yet we are but souls cascaded against the many ramparts of our existence and like the shiny motes of light high in the sky we are many. through kinship we grow brighter and through perseverance stronger yet as time wears on the truth becomes an ever approaching reality. For as lovely as a glimmer life is it can not last forever so gather close those glimmers near you for together you may burn as the flash of a great star.
