Nature's Music Box

Nature’s Music Box

The sun will rise to a symphony
As nature conducts her song,
The peaceful waves start to dance
And the seagulls sing along.
The man on the moon and a violin
He performs in a stringed quartet,
Musical notes float across the sky
As shadows dance in silhouette.
Seasons change her melodies
And the world will always Spin,
Thank you Nature’s Music Box
Please play your soul again.

Waiting For the Sunrise

Waiting for the Sunrise

Mystery lies in the grains of sand
As they are washed upon the shore,
Life’s hourglass has turned the page
And the sun goes down once more.
I count the waves with Father Time
As we swap stories in the night,
We talked about the things to come
While looking for the morning light.
My mind went drifting off into space
When the moon told me his sorrow,
He sees the pain around the world
And prays we see tomorrow.
I saw a glimpse of Mother Nature
As a sea turtle surfed the tide,
Her soul was there to remind me
That life is a wonderful ride.
The eastern sky is about to break
And the horizon looks like gold,
So much power in the sunrise
Pure beauty waiting to unfold.

Color Your Own Rainbow

Color your Own Rainbow

I have been through many storms
Some too dark for the world to see,
With battle scars I stood my ground
But each storm took a piece of me.
Are you waiting for your rainbow?
Or has your rainbow turned to gray?
Are the dark clouds never ending?
Is there more thunder on its way?
Let your soul paint you a rainbow
Watch your clouds just disappear,
Your thunder becomes a whisper
And your storm is about to clear.
Color the sky with your laughter
Let your smile be pure and true,
A pot of gold is waiting there
It is the rainbow that found you.

Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day

I hope a stranger starts to laugh
As they walk along my way,
I will wear my nose with pride
For this is Red Nose Day.
Buy a nose and you will smile
As you hear laughter all around,
A gift of love to a child’s heart
Where poverty can be found.
A red nose will bring happiness
And help the hunger in their eyes,
To give the young a fighting chance
And put color back in their skies.

Patience and Hope

Patience and Hope

Patience rolls in with the tides
And they hope to reach the shore,
The wind will help along the way
And time will bring the roar.
Patience will bring you beauty
And hope will light the sky,
Bury your toes deep in the sand
For a sunrise will never lie.
Hope creates the melody
And patience sings the song,
Let your soul lead you the way
Take a breath and hum along.

Happiness Is An Inside Job

Happiness is an inside job

Happiness is an inside job
Have faith in your reflection,
Find trust in the eyes you see
With true love and pure affection.
Let your smile spread like fire
And shine like the morning sun,
Share your joy with all the world
Create an avalanche full of fun.
Learn to have a child’s heart
God’s gift is in your laughter,
Happiness is an inside job
May your soul live ever after.

Oh Butterfly,Oh Butterfly

Oh butterfly, Oh butterfly

Oh butterfly, Oh butterfly
Please let me finish my thoughts,
Oh butterfly, Oh butterfly
My mind chases you in knots.
Oh butterfly, Oh butterfly
I want sand between my toes,
Oh butterfly, Oh butterfly
There's one sitting on my nose.
Oh butterfly, Oh butterfly
Listen as the night time sings,
Oh butterfly, Oh butterfly
Look at those beautiful wings.
Oh butterfly, Oh butterfly
The waves crashing at my feet
Oh butterfly, Oh butterfly
Your deep colors are so sweet.

Big Bad Wolf

Big Bad Wolf

The big bad wolf had found my house,
When my heart was made of straw,
A huff and a puff blew me down,
And my heart just had to fall.
I redesigned and built again,
Then I made my heart of wood,
The wolf blew hard and down I went,
Vulnerable there I stood.
My heart now has a new design,
A foundation made of stone,
Brick by brick I protect my heart,
But that leaves me all alone.

True Friendship

True Friendship

Thank you for your friendship
When my life was full of doubt,
Rock bottom seems to feel alone
And I forgot who helped me out.
Thank you for your selflessness
When my heart was filled with pain,
We talked about the sunny days
As my soul just watched the rain.
Thank you for not judging me
When I felt my life was cursed,
you stuck around and tried to help
And have seen me at my worst.
Thank you for not giving up
When you did not understand,
I would not have made it far
If it was not for you my friend.

The Positive Warrior

The Positive warrior

The positive warrior inside of me
Knows a smile can stop the rain,
And laughter is pure medicine
It’s the soul’s way to heal the pain.
The positive warrior inside of me
Will learn to stand up from a fall,
And walk with my head held high
And try to give the world my all.
