Michael Dimuantes Poem
The candle flickers and stops
The dark is leaves me thinking of
A night halted in pain
Was this all in vain?
The trees whisper a soft song
Outside my window all night long
The dark's replaced your sweet voice
This wasn't our choice.
But I can't forget you.

Michael Dimuantes Poem
Frozen by the depths of darkness
Creeping in to find you defenceless.
But it never leaves you, never lies,
It's all beauty and all life.
Pain is patient, Pain is kind
Pain has love on its mind.
Look for light, trust in the dark
Not one without the other,
No beauty without rain.
So scorn me and drown me
Hold me in the grip
Of a thousand vices over my head
Crush me and taunt me take me away
Give me the guts to break free and run
Beauty in the depths of despair
broken bones and silver hair
Keep me alive, keep me out of sin
Lock the door, don't let me in.

Michael Dimuantes Poem
My old dreams have lost their place,
My old words have a bitter taste.
Love me and leave me,
Step on my feet.
It's gotten too dark love
I can't see.
Shattered glass, all over the floor,
The seams are all undone you've locked the door.
Kiss me don't leave me,
Out of desire.
It's gotten too dark love
I can't see
Our good times, are coloured in black,
Our sweet crimes are never coming back.
Hold me and take me,
I feel so weak.
It's gotten too dark love
I can't see.
Young love was crushed by young life.
Never forget where we stood
Or how we tried.
All a heart can do,
Is be the shore to the ocean,
Holding on so tightly to
A distant devotion.
