Mandie Zettee Poem
Loves lesson's loud
Ears echo endlessly
Always after another
Veering vague views
Eons ever empty

Mandie Zettee Poem
The first time your face I did see
I instinctively knew we were meant to be
I am filled with a love so free
Every time I hold you close to me
You, my beautiful, darling child
Born of love's passion gone wild

Mandie Zettee Poem
you are
my one and only
you make my heart smile
give my spirit song
I will always
love only
you

Mandie Zettee Poem
There was a girl
She loved and laughed
She was one of God's angels
Her smile could light up the dark
Her heart was pure and trusting
She didn't know pain or heartache
Her wings were wide and flowing
Like downy feathers of a chick
And her halo was untarnished
And it had never been bent
She believed in nothing but happiness
Her beautiful eyes had never cried
And others looked upon her
With love, laughter, and hope
The little girl was broken
Someone shattered her crystal world
And as glass confetti rained down
She realized she was torn
Her wings had been broken
And they were covered in her blood
For her body had been violated
And she was innocent no more
Her halo lay at her feet
Bent sorrowfully in half
And she looked up to heaven
And heard a pitiful laugh
The little girl cried endlessly
She couldn't fix her wings
To fly up and sing with the angels
Was all she had wished to do
But because she was broken
It became all to clear
That little girl, she died that day
And I am what remains
A fallen angel

Mandie Zettee Poem
programmed to live this everyday life
mechanical actions and emotions
going through the motions thoughtlessly
always present but never really here
feeling trapped within aluminum walls
no way for anyone to come inside
yet no way for me to break out
lost soullessly inside myself
mechanical smiles, my cheap facade
making others believe the falsehoods
that make up my true existance
my laughter has a metalic ring
that wchoes throughout this tin-foil place
creating an ache unlike any other
nowhere to hide from the enemy
when sadly I find, the enemy is me
mechanical bits and broken pieces
welded carelessly into the haphazard shape
of the woman I see staring back
tearfully from the looking glass
the cold hard truth has found me at last
I couldn't hide future, present, or past
my true identitiy has finally appeared
it is the "Tin Man" that resides in here
