Si Villan Poem
There is a Facebook page called BULLYCIDE, a campaign to try to end bullying in all forms. They ran a poetry competition about 3 years ago on their page and I had the unenviable task of judging it. Then, the winner was turned into a song by me which then became the pages' theme tune...this is the winning poem.
Redemption Over, Forgiveness Denied
A broken child or a helpless teen
An empty place inside when hope might have been
A bully scorned, a crowd that hates
No one to turn to now, it's far too late
Actions taken, never justified
It doesn't matter how many tears are cried
Redemption over, forgiveness denied
The person you tortured chose death over life
You took advantage of a damaged soul
Destruction of innocence, an empty goal
You never thought that my child's fragile heart
Would cease to beat forever once you did your part
Actions taken, never justified
It doesn't matter how many tears are cried
Redemption over, forgiveness denied
The person you tortured chose death over life
Don't ask for forgiveness, it's not mine to give
You took my child's life, it's unfair that you still live
All I have are memories, the potential gone too soon
You are tied to me forever by a thread I'd rather burn
Actions taken, never justified
It doesn't matter how many tears are cried
Redemption over, forgiveness denied
The person you tortured chose death over life
My child was dearly loved, their memory remain
You may have been the one who made them break beneath the pain
But the fight against Bullycide grows stronger everyday
And your name unimportant now will slowly fade away
Actions taken, never justified
It doesn't matter how many tears are cried
Redemption over, forgiveness denied
The person you tortured chose death over life

Si Villan Poem
SPITFIRE
The heart beats at the beauty of
The silent elegant beast
Getting close on the morning dew
Ready for this flying feast
Pulling the blade just once or twice
Rolls Royce chucks smoke of blue
The heartbeat of this grand old bird
Will always run true
With awesome grace she lifts her nose
To lift you from the mire
The smile just glows adrenaline flows
At the beauty of the Spitfire
We dance on clouds on silvered wings
We wheeled and soared and swung
Higher than where eagles sing
Where British heroes won
Tyrant hordes gathered near
And tried to show their power
But like a terrier born to fight
They gave us our finest hour
With awesome grace she lifts her nose
To lift you from the mire
The smile just glows adrenaline flows
At the beauty of the Spitfire
the late great Mr Churchill said
You did us proud, we sing it loud
That you were our Achilles Heel
So much owed by so many to so few
We owe our life our freedom rife
So many here, unaware
At the debt we really owe you
now in debt forever

Si Villan Poem
Happy Last Year
As the clock strikes twelve
And a new year begins
I know that in this hell that's my life
My last year alive creeps in
You all don't know, all living in hope
I hope that this year will bring you great joy, keep you whole
But I know I'm spiralling down at a pace
The end must be nigh just give me some grace
The final countdown on my ticking clock
Is racing, the end of my life stepping up
I don't want to feel like this constantly down
My heart can't take the feeling it's dragging the ground
The voice in my head tells me get in the car
Just drive to the sea and carry on in far
Or down all those pills that you have by your side
And end all your sadness while you're still alive
Happy Last Year...

Si Villan Poem
CHOAS REIGNS
In peace sons bury dads
But in war the roles reverse
If we don't end wars
Then war will end us
Laws are silent
In times of war
Sometimes I think wars
Are to see who is top dog...
Giving money and power to governments
Is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys
Chaos reigns
Power is poison
We've seen the effects it's had for generations
Power corrupts, it happens to every nation
Money and power is what these jokers crave
And there's nothing they won't do to make us pay
The sins of a nation
rest upon one man's shoulders
He casts black shadows
Over iron ruled soldiers
For their own pleasures
Get away with distorting truths
A power of lies
Peoples minds take abuse
Giving money and power to governments
Is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys
Chaos reigns
Power is poison
We've seen the effects it's had for generations
Power corrupts, it happens to every nation
Money and power is what these jokers crave
And there's nothing they won't do to make us pay

Si Villan Poem
The Road Most Travelled
Like a nerve trapped in a shoulder
or a bird stuck in a cage,
Or a fly caught in a web
Oh my soul, it dreams of escape.
Somewhere beyond my inner walls
Beyond the lies and hate
Take me to my inner peace
Take, take me through the gate
Take me to the place
The place where I used to smile
The road most travelled,
is paved with self doubt
The demons in a troubled soul
Will drag you straight to hell
I look inside my subconcious
To find the things that I loathe
There must be more than the empty glass
Something more, something more to hold
Pain of frustration grew like a reservoir;
Boiling from within
Disappointments are stacking up
They keep the pressure up
I cannot find that place where I smile
The road most travelled,
is paved with self doubt
The demons in a troubled soul
Will drag you straight to hell
Somewhere beyond my inner walls
Beyond the lies and hate
Take me to my inner peace
Take, take me through the gate
Take me to the place
The place where I used to smile
The road most travelled,
is paved with self doubt
The demons in this troubled soul
Can drag itself back to hell
