Let Yourself Rise

Fate takes its twist, Always when you least expect
When your living in bliss, Your life can be wrecked
In the company of dogs, You can become the feast
And in a synagogue, No one holds the leash
Spite spiked with pain, Is an emotion without limit
I've dealt it time and time again, And I've felt the end of it.

When the deep blue skies, Are ignored or disguised
In the dark the devil hides, Lift your eyes
Let yourself rise, Let yourself rise.

The joker cries, In his den at night
While the reaper lies, But awakes with fright
If you feel unwelcome, Feel no obligation to stay
It's a cruel world for some, Free will has made it this way
You can not blame the maker, Blame finds its own way home
In the heart of the traitor, Lies a feeling to many unknown.

When your lover cries, And guilt is compromised
Forgive no unfaithful lie, Cut your ties
Let yourself rise, Let yourself rise.
