A Creed To Greed

Trying to relive moments because someone told me moments last forever.
But forever never saved me then, so I’ll close my eyes never.
These glasses are too empty to have such full smiles.
These breathing bodies are so dead because they think it is in style.
This protective blanket that puts the innocent on trial.
The truth no longer sets one free.
The truth no longer allows the blind to see.
Instead you give them shady glasses so they’ll be what you want them to be.
Surrounded by copies of different color.
They were told they were different from one another.
Just because some like to walk and others like to run makes you no different from anyone.
The world solemnly grows into the wasteland we proudly have created it to be.
We are the creators of this homeland we call “The land of the Free..”
Where wealth is the goal and Death is the outcome.
We live for the income waiting for some change and then some.
We think change is the answer and it’ll answer without a call.
The telephone lines are down now and the lies will finally fall.
It’s time to start over, without the greedy, we’ll crawl.
