Masquerade 
Hide your emotions in a clever disguise,
Hang above like an angel of protection,
Save those exuberant kaleidoscope eyes,

Words of joy prevent a treacherous demise,
Of a soul once tortured filled with infection,

Jokes with laughter that will light up the dark skies,
Music that’s sweeter than any confection,

Ravish in time together with constant surprise,
Hoping no one can sense a predilection,

Wash out all the sadness with smiles is wise,
The one in the mirror, a nice reflection,

In the silence there is inaudible cries,
Push away those thoughts of deep complexion,
