Kindness

Has this kindness
Gone too far?

Being used with
No mercy.

My goodness
Causing misery.
People take advantage
Of my good heart.

Walked all over
With no remorse.
These feelings once
Warm, now cold as ice.

I tremble as I recall
All that I’ve lost.

Has this kindness
Gone too far?

Fall

Shine bright, for you
Are meant to light up
Someone’s life, simply
With your presence.

Smile for someone
Could be falling for
 Your happiness.

Laugh for someone
Could fall in love
With your humour.

Make eye contact
For someone could
Fall for your gaze.

Cry, for someone
May fall for your
Imperfections.

Be yourself for
Someone may
Fall for you.

The Outdoors

In Ontario, you can’t go anywhere without seeing a tree.
Here, all is green and beautiful. I caught a fish.
Rowing against the current, the wind, and the rain.
The hills, the beauty of night stars shining bright.
The deer running frantically, before they are shot.
Not wanting summer to come to an end.
The roars of the dying bear, bleeding and waiting for death.
The night so dark I can hear howling at the moon.
Without thought I carved and starved.
With tons of fish I wish to eat.
I have no knife to cut or gut, these
tons of fish. I wish to catch some more,
what a chore. Chanting camping songs
all along awaiting wishfully for the heavenly fire.

Believe

Believe

You told me you loved me.
I foolishly believed you.
I fell for you, like never before

I believed you loved me.
I shouldn’t have, because you
Left me forever, all alone.

You left me,
Broken without you.
Feeing like I was not enough, for anyone.

You wanted more,
Than I could give you.
My affection was all I could give.

I wouldn’t give it to someone
Who wouldn’t care, like you.
Love is all I can give.

One day, I will believe in love.
It won’t be someone like you.
I will wait for the man who will love
Me no matter what I chose to give.

One Art

The art of loving isn’t hard to master
So many things seem filled with love.
To be lost in a love forever.

Love more everyday. Accept the disaster
Of a lost mind hours thinking of your love.
The art of loving isn’t hard to master.

Then practice loving farther, loving faster
People, and places, and who it is you have to love.
All of these will bring us together.

I lost my heart, And look! My forever
Next-to-last, of my love went.
To be lost in a love forever.

I gained hope, a lovely one. And faster
Some realms I owned, I will always have hope
I love them, and it will be a forever.

Even loving you, a great gesture
I shant have lied. For I hope
The art of loving isn’t hard to master
Though it may look like a great disaster.

(Based on the poem One Art by Elizabeth Bishop, this was a project in creative writing)

Fear

The fear I felt was real,
Nothing compared.
Wanting that feeling
To go away
Forever, and
Never come back.
Feeling like I was
Never enough,
For you, for me,
Everyone.
That feeling will
Never go away.
I wished and wished
It would leave,
But it never did.
Now I’m gone
And feel like I can
Be myself.

Snow

Another Sunny Day,
has come and gone.

Snowy days are
much more peaceful.
Winter is a beauty
nature has created,
for our eyes to look
at the twinkling
light in the snow.

Winter is romantic,
the snowflakes fall
and fall until they
reach each other
on the white ground.

And they stay together,
until their love melts away.

Love

Being scared, all alone.
In this world meant for two,
Always alone.
Always lonely,
Wishing for you to come
And rescue me from the
Fear that surrounds my heart.
Without you, I am nothing
With you, I am everything.
My blood type is misery,
Your blood type is love,
Together they make Passion.
Passion is what is needed
For a perfect world
Made up of love and happiness.
Together nothing could stop us
From being all that we can be.

Drowning

Feeling like she couldn’t breathe
Everything hurt and she
Couldn’t understand why.

Feeling like there was
no one in this world that loved her.
Feeling all alone, no one around.

She was trapped. She was drowning.

She tried to scream, but
Her cries were muffled
From the waters she was drowning in.

It shouldn’t be so hard.
She tried to hold on.
But there was so much pulling her down.

Her heart didn’t want to feel
this pain anymore.
The agony.
Her head was exploding

Letting go felt like her only choice.

Weather

As the snow falls,
I look and wonder,
I wonder what it would be like
to be a snowflake.

So peaceful, falling slowly
steadily, but so beautiful.
Cold and windy,
the sky of the angry.

But the beauty in the white.
The trees welcoming it gracefully.
Because they want to lend a
helping hand, to the nature that is about.

Nature helping nature, sun, rain, snow, trees, water. Nature.
