3 Am

It's 3 AM.
Darkness surrounds me.
My heart is hurting.
My eyes begin to water.
Im shaking now.
My breathing speeds up.
Negative thoughts are racing through my mind.
I see it... lying across the room beside the box of tissues that is constantly being restocked.
I get up slowly and begin to walk towards the shimmering silver object.
Dizzy, I am dizzy. I am seeing spots.
I reach my destination.
I slowly stretch my arm outwards and grasp the object softly.
I try to keep quiet as I walk to the bathroom.
Despite my sobbing and stumbling, I manage to keep quiet enough that everyone remains asleep.
I run the bath and slowly remove my clothes and step into the tub, sinking my pale, fragile body into the clear lukewarm water. I place the object to my wrist. I draw a line. One. Two. Three. four...five..six.seven eight nine ten TWENTY! Twenty lines. The water is now a deep red. Red with my blood, for these lines are not just lines, they are cuts in my once beautiful skin. You must think I'm crazy....well maybe I am... I place a towel to my wrist and wait for the bleeding to subside. It takes exactly seventeen and a half minutes. I drain the water and clean up my mess leaving behind no trace. I slip into my clothes and quietly return to my bed, placing the blade under my pillow. I fall asleep crying. Again. Welcome to my world, my never-ending sadness.
