The Picture of Life

Today I saw thunder leak from the sky,
As if the sky was water and the thunder was dye.
There was no sound there was only red,
I asked a woman if God was dead.
She led me to a house with just one door,
Inside there was a painting of an open shore.
She painted it herself she sees colors by touch.
The ocean is her mind the beach is her crutch.
She said each stroke is a single thought,
Some of them flowed others she fought.
She rubbed the painting at a boat with a sail,
And said only the blind man can scream in Braille.
The boat is a person she said it's a saint,
God is the canvass, reality is the paint.
We were created as the artists so the universe will grow,
Because words can't always explain all that we know.
My soul is the paintbrush as a pen may be yours,
Once you begin there are infinite doors.
She only paints at night it's when she feels whole,
The stars give her the strength that society has stole.
Quiet your mind and you will feel the yearn.
Evolution is our creativity to explain what we learn.
Much like wings give birds the gift of flight,
We have gifts that solve the experience of life.

The White Devil

This beautiful woman, she's dressed in white,
If you take her hand she'll dance all night.
She wears these crystals that'll steal your eye.
You'll dance with this woman until you die.
Her voice brings a rush that never lies,
You'll be lost in euphoria cause she ain't shy.
The scent of her hair will take your heart,
It'll beat so fast it'll tear apart.
You'll never want away from her luscious lips,
You'll become addicted to the sway of her hips.
The texture of her skin, it will chill your blood,
But listen my friend do not fall in love.
For this is the devil she's disguised in white,
Her wings are illusions she cannot fly.
She'll burn your hope and she'll sell your pride,
She'll drag you to hell and she'll be your guide.
Your thoughts will drown, you'll fall insane,
For she is the white devil and her name is cocaine.

The Owl

I once found a rip just along my reality
I climbed in its hole escaping is my speciality
Inside I met an owl who smiled with a frown
He said you'll never go up if you're always looking down
He hummed a song that held no rhythm or rhyme
About a world that grew tired of the concept of time
He looked up at the sun and said the moon was his wife
And painted a story about the river that he called life
That you'll only know the ground if you've never seen the sky.
And you'll only know life if you never have to die
The real things you only see when you close your eyes
And there'd be no such thing as hello if we never said goodbye
That there are only shadows because we have light
No matter how many days there will always be a night
He held a mirror but said the reflection went away
That sometimes he's glad or maybe sad but words don't always mean what they say
In his other hand he held what to be an endless maze
He said it's for the man who loves to run in place
Our personalities are just barriers we've all built inside
Were really just one person but that one person always tries to hide
He said were all interconnected by just a single being
And everything we see Will never be as what it seems
He said there's more to the idea but there is a thing called sin
and that path is paved with more than one good intention
No matter how much you learn you will never ever know
You must experience it yourself and always reap what you sow
Live in the question because the answers will never end
We live on forever but our bodies are just dust in the wind
I had just one question I asked if he was god
He told me no but he said so with a nod

A Devil

I once met the devil on a hill in the skies
He was cloaked in a smile, a convincing disguise
There was a glimpse of blood that shone from his eyes
His tongue twisted words that melted in lies
He told me I could be king with him at my side
There were just a few rules that I had to abide
But first a glimpse of this newfound life
He pulled up his sleeve and took out a knife
Drink this and you will see your foresight
And the night melted,a mixture of ecstasy and light
There was a blanket of warmth and i floated high
I knew how the world worked but better i Knew why
And When I awoke he awaited with a grin on his face
I fell to my knees and begged him for that place
Of course of course just sign your name
I grabbed for the ink with zero shame
Now for the rules to receive that grace
Rule number one you shall never pray
You must always move and never lay
you must drink my blood at least once a day
You must only listen to what I say
What you need you must steal that is the way
And this is what my life had soon became
I was drunk from his dreams,my only flame
I would only awake to be lost in a daze
I lived only to feel his quiet gaze
And Sadly after the years had began to age
I had learned the devil had only gave me a stage
All he put in my head was a simple play
And I lusted after it day after day
And for this i had agreed to a life of sin
For the devils blood was my sweet heroin
