Friends

You can have fun with friends
Everyday from the start to end

But without anyone
You really can't have fun

And when it's time to say goodbye
You will surely say 'oh my'

Oh what fun I had today
It's so fun to play
Hooray!

If It Were All Up To Me

The blind would see
The poor would have riches
Everyone would be happy
Those are my wishes

The deaf man would hear
You would get a second chance
There would be no fear
Instead of sitting, you'd dance

The stars would tell stories
And the mute man would sing
The sky would show glory
And the lonely'd wear rings

The fearful would be brave
The shy would be friendly
Free would be the slaves
If it were all up to me

Christmas Eve

Santa

Santa is flying through the air
Riding his toy filled sleigh
Following the path of stars
Helping him find his way

He will hop down every child's chimney tonight
Then he is gone without a trace
Leaving nothing but presents in his midst
He is gone from the place

He gives every child
Every girl and every boy
He takes pleasure in giving
Every child in the world a toy

Us Against the World

We marched out into the distance
Hand held in hand
With our families weeping behind us
We were off to save the land

Off to save the country
Which I was proud to call my own
Off without an inkling
That I would come running back alone

Christmas Party

Adorned with jewels
With fancy white lace
With a deep green gown
And silent grace

Scarcely moving
Glowing bright
With her star shaped crown
She is a beautiful sight

Tonight she stands
Lovely and tall
A decorative piece
Which completes this hall

This Christmas tree
In a deep green gown
A decorative piece
With a star shaped crown

Change

I need some time alone
To fix this sodden mess
To reverse all of these tragedies
Find a good way to confess
To lead me to my freedom
To retire from head villainess
To not come home defeated
Stop wanting to possess

And now I think,
Oh what's the point?
To try and come back strong
After all of these mistakes
The shame will stay too long
Guilt prickles at my ankles,
Envy worms it's way back inside
My tears come spilling out
And now I just want to hide

Mother's Day

A mother for me to talk to
A shoulder made just for tears
A friend with whom to confide in
To comfort my deepest fears

A hand there just for giving
And eyes that see it all
You are there to help me
Get up when I fall

Thank you mom
For being there for me
Through all of these calamities
Thank you mom
For eyes that see
All of the good indeed

Happy Mother's Day

Always Together

Roses and thorns
Stars and night
Rain and rainbows
Friendships and fights

Lemons and lemonade
Weakness and might
Forest and wilderness
Fire and light

If you want one,
You must deal with the other
They come as a package
Always together

You can't have roses without thorns
You must be weak before might
You cant have stars without black
Friendship comes with fights

Thanksgiving, Bah

Thanksgiving
Is what they call this day,
But do they care what turkeys say?
No
To them this day is a treat
All they care about is the meat
And mashed potatoes
And cranberry sauce
And you leave us to mourn with the loss
Thank god we won't be around for much longer
Because when we fall
You get stronger
There is one thing to be thankful for
Soon we will be with those whom we adore

The Eye of the Storm

Travelling alone in the heat
Without the cold I am incomplete
Find the wind in the eye of the storm
All that bluster, never uniform

It is quiet and calm and much too still
The winds rushing 'round me 'till I've had my fill
Of the power and strength that pushes me on
From dusk to the break of dawn

All those people, far away
No more running, I'm here to stay
All those people who follow me
Can't find me here

I'm free
No one can find me now
No one can hurt me here
Here in the eye of the storm
