How Do I Control My Pain

How do I control my pain?
How do I fight the feeling in my heart?
When all you see in your mind is the one you love,
The one you adore yet cannot be with,
What do you do except cry and revel in the darkness of your heart?
For what light can exist in your heart when being strangled?
Strangled by my ever-present thoughts and feelings.
I have given up so much of myself,
So many things I could have done,
But I chose her over it all,
And I do not regret my decision,
For I love her more than anything,
More than life itself,
It’s hard to lose someone you would die for,
What makes it harder is the fact that it is partly my fault,
The inability to control my insecurities has taken my most dear,
And my heart has become a black hole of darkness and despair.
Every rose had its thorns..
