Patriarch, Roller Coaster

Roller coaster by ian munywe

Shuffling of many a feet in the street, sighing reluctantly in this awful road.
As we draw closer to alien things, what we saw before not in sync,
Far so far we have trod, even afar we must not stop to thirst.

Events as they present, to decipher remains quite a task,
A glance back then now and then, we best infer to savour past,
Rising to coos and hoots drawn, chilly down with eyes heavy so worn,
Constant transit out of outskirts, rampant activity spits in skirts,
Endeavour wherever however, whatsoever, sole goal to gain favour,
Far so far we have trod, even afar we must not stop to thirst.

Unprecedented as they took place, unexpected an understatement with sentiment,
Walking past long left gates, reading and writing again embraced,
Opportunities widely come across, gross charge mostly for better,
Rekindles acquaintance after enough sunsets, cease of quite dramatic audience in occurrence,
Far so far we have trod even afar we must not stop to thirst.

Looming sunrise inevitably so, dimming light at the end of a tunnel,
Arbiter remains key to be, aspiration maintains so we shall see,
Dreams and visions a regular, a manifestation of favor from above,
Amidst good and evil, an envisioned mortal is seen for tomorrow,
Far as far we have trod, even afar we must not stop to thirst.

Patriarch by ian munywe

Revered by us off springs, feared and respected all siblings,
Principle rate not known such, astute beyond depiction and description,
A  frown enough signal to all, a smile rare as a blue rose,
Charismatic and envisioned in immerse, a true hero eminent salute not forthcoming,
Moral abiding oral chiding he did not spare, a longing to live up to such shrewd character,
Assonance alliteration repletion by all means, not close to describe a man of such predisposition.

Industry a way of life so rite, walking in the High deity’s path,
As from tree trunk sprouts branches, daughters and sons’ inception such blessing,
Strict as a disciplinarian quite daunting, if we could only turn back the hands of time,
Memories still linger from childhood, an erosion to rest his soul upon solace,
Even as age draws closer not  a bother, in our hearts we shall honor and ponder,
Still a living legend in our view, a manifestation of his greatness in our midst,
Tears we held back such a task, I pray will wash away agony and tension,
A song to our lost patriarch, how we still cling upon you.

Be Like Water

BE LIKE WATER-IAN MUNYWE
Many often ask how, then you shall prevail.
does one survive here? Even the rocky mountains show respect,
I have as well, to the volumes all around!
pondered on the matter. Be a cocktail of sorts,
In a jungle of unfairness, be like the water.
where no rules apply. Then you shall endure,
Do you start a journey, then you shall prevail.
to the plains of justice?
Or do you sit and watch,
play the game with foresight?
This wheel has revolved,
for oh so long.
Should we get a new wheel?
How about we soup it up!
One seasoned witty friend,
whispered in my ear.
Be a cocktail of sorts,
be like the water.
Then you shall endure,
then you shall prevail.

Insight To Uptown Chronicles

CHANGE by Ian Munywe
upon his visage boasts sweat, industry an upheld virtue.
firm stature is exhibited, hard labour an accepted custom.
a time for toil yearns, wheat and other victuals for the future.
every stride to strive in burning heat,a quest out of perpetual penury.
feelings of disillusionment eminent,in the brink of a huge fall.
life such a baffling puzzle, everyday hustle inevitably knows no end.

a new dawn presents opportunity, quite in a rush for elevation.
an orison heard audibly, benedictions befalling a mortal.
reverted in such haste such distaste,it were best in prior times.
a new sense of belonging looming, adaptation of wanting predisposition.
amidst all the experience, hardly a thought in modesty lines.

amnesia having set in,pristine of new life in no time.
integrity eroded ferociously, candidacy annihilated in totality.
how mankind does change, indeed swiftly we tend to forget.

RISE by Ian Munywe
two sides of a divide collide inside, audibly voicing their thoughts.
optimism reverberates severely, realism ricochets as quite a formidable term.
resounding trials too eminent, life manifested in a perplexity of events.
too many fish upon this vicinity, evidently not enough room to fry.
by all means he shall triumph,by any means necessary.

hard gravel swept over by dust, feet shuffle upon tough earth.
mallets bash into rigid steel, potrait of his new born remains sole solace.
all efforts to reap this here season, barren yield begets unknown anguish.
a sojourner already on course,in vehement search for a new start.
by all means he shall triumph,by any means necessary.

wary he tranforms worn he conforms, glimpse of the past vision of the future.
feet now trod upon all rugged earth, all adorned in strapped sandals.
steel once too rigid little too hard, antiques and ornaments an eventuality.
henceforth sight of new territory such insight, cite so picturesque a gaze in awe.
by all means he shall triumph,by any means necessary.

Db Cooper

DB COOPER-IAN MUNYWE
Ka DB cooper sina pupa,
nitaondokea pia muda ukifika.
Daily kukachora kuzuia swara,
bila rwaara bado ninang`ara.
kaka dada mama baba,
nawatakia mengi mafanikio.
nahisi kama Jimi Hendrix,
back in 69 huko woodstock,
ama king Bob Marley in 79 santa barbara.
vibe ilikuwa safi pia,
John Lennon akiwa madison square in 72.
basi tunazidi kwa bidii,
maombi tele ili majaaliwa tufike kilele.

Little Angel

Behold there she lay peacefully,
covered in warmth quite meticulously.
Her snow white eyes blinked,
as she sought to establish the place.
A smile warm as the sun rays,
from her lit up our hearts.
Ebony black hair atop her head,
her face beaming with joy.
A priceless gift to us all,
from our maker the overall.
We wish countless fortunes,
upon this little angel.
That the fountain of blessings,
may well over her life.
To always live in His favour,
for all times and seasons due.

Martin Thembisile Chris Hani

MARTIN THEMBISILE CHRIS HANI -IAN MUNYWE
A standing ovation , courageous charismatic visionary.
for this gallant man Chris Hani. A standing ovation,
Candidly revolutionary, for this gallant man Chris Hani.
unabashed for the right cause.
A standing ovation,
for this gallant man Chris Hani.
Such hunger for sovereignty,
selfless in this fight for freedom.
Even in the face of peril,
you did not cave.
A great listener a great orator.
Acta no verba,
illustrated perfectly by this hero.
Subjected to squalour pain and terror,
but still rose above the muck.
Stoic strong passionate patriotic,

Spasiba- Ian Munywe

SPASIBA
Spasiba,
spasiba.
Kwa mwenyezi,
bila kipimo nakuenzi.
Spasiba,
spasiba.
Kwa mama ulileta duniani,
na kunilea.
Spasiba,
spasiba.
Kwa marafiki wa kikweli,
sio wahuni.
Spasiba,
spasiba.
Kwa wahusika wote wenye nia njema,
sio wenye sumu kwenye sindano.
Spasiba,
spasiba.
Kwa maadui washirikina na wenye fitina,
wasio na utu ila tu unafiki.
Garagazano hili,
hamwezi.
Spasiba,
spasiba.

Chronic Melancholic

CHRONIC MELANCHOLIC-IAN MUNYWE
You are a chronic melancholic,
critics` labels are emphatic.
Allegations rooted in phonetics,
assertions cemented in logic.
They often spark thoughts,
Am I a chronic melancholic?
With objective prejudice they device,
means ways methods of advice.
We must save this sinking case,
lest in society we lose our place.
To obfuscate truth to showcase farce,
and claim he is a chronic melancholic!
Devising potent mind solutions,
is a path I long ago chose.
One that is draining even tasking,
for there are too many goals.
Resist that burning urge,
to try champion change.
If not you as well,
will be a chronic melancholic!

Kenya-Ian Munywe

KENYA
Ndege ya unyanyapaa inapaa,
kila siku ni balaa.
Alaa,
alaa!
Hamna kazi,
 swali hili ni wazi.
Haya sio maneno tu,
bali ni kilio cha waja.
Wengi wanaodhulumiwa,
kilio ni cha haki!
Tumechoka na uhuni,
unaokiuka kanuni.
Vyakula,
bei ghali!
Maisha yetu yamo mnadani,
dalali mate yanamdondoka!
Sisi sote ni binadamu,
ni wakati.
Tuungane,
tuimarishe nchi yetu.
Kenya,
ni yetu sote.

Passion- Ian Munywe

PASSION-IAN MUNYWE
In Alexander the great,
welled ample passion.
To conquer,
 the world.
Napoleon Bonaparte too,
son of Corsica.
A great soldier,
with a vision.
Passion to mention rightfully is key,
to all of life`s greatness gates.
Gates of prosperity,
Built from humble beginnings.
The stimulus,
passion.
Passion indeed holds all the weight,
upon which life rests.
It sustains the bridges,
vital for transition.
Bridges of like,
blossom to bridges of love.
That then sprout to matrimony,
yielding mirth in ripe and old age.
Passion without a shadow of a doubt,
has to be the fix.
People so desperately need,
whether young or seasoned.
Passion fuels success,
Passion breeds zeal and zest.
