Secret Love

If only
you read,
From the
palm of my
thoughts,
The waiting
would end,
I’d wake
up again,
With no love
of regret,
No answer
to find,
No secret
to hide.

What If

what if I
didn’t matter-
would you
think about me
not here-
or if I
didn’t exist-
ever never,
would you
shed a tear
what if I were
a mess-
would you
comb my hair
or if we
were in love-
would you
whisper in
my ear
what if I
were hurt-
would you
say a prayer
or if I didn’t
come home-
would that
give you
a scare
what if I
were injured
would you
be in despair,
or if I
got you upset-
would that make
you swear
what if I
were tired-
would you give
me a chair
or if I were
on the
other side-
would you give
me a stare
what if
I were homeless-
would you
give me some
socks to wear
or if I already
had one-
could I
make a pair
what if I
had no money-
would you help
pay my fare
what if I
were hungry-
would you share,
or if I wanted
a steak-
would you
make it rare
what if I ate
too much-
would you give
me a glare
or if I
were round-
could you
make me square
what if I
had a flat-
would you
have a spare
or if
I got lost-
would you
send up
a flare
what if I
fainted-
would you
give me
some air
or if I
were Abe Lincoln-
would I
use foursquare
what if I
were a baby-
would I want my
teddy bear
or if I cheated-
in a game
would you
say I’m unfair
what if I
danced-
would you
call me
Fred Astaire,
or if I
were a fruit-
could I be
a pair,
what if I
hit the lotto-
would that make
me a millionaire
maybe so
or even
a billionaire
what if
that happened-
would I
be debonair
or if I had
a deck of cards-
could I play solitaire
what if I
were santa-
could I have
a rein deer
or downhill skier-
would I take
that dare
what if I
were just me-
would you
even care.

Hidden Tears

A fake smile
shown outside,
A charade I can
no longer hide,

Seeing laughter,
But not felt,
Holding on as
I begin to melt,

Reaching out
with every stride,
 Hidden tears
each day I cried,

The edge I stand
won’t hold I fear,
Looking down
seems so near.

Lost Inside a Dream

Internal mind
of silence,
Silence within
the night,

It hides beneath
the shadows,
And dark
beyond the light,

A entrance way
to where,
Where and
endless days,

Lost inside
a dream
realities frozen
in a maze.

Inside Christmas

I saw Santa Claus walking the other day,
Walking home from the mall,
He looked kind of frail,
Didn’t look like him at all,

He looked kind of sad,
Had that vacant kind of stare,
So I pulled to my right,
And I offered a chair,

I asked may I help,
He just shook his head down,
But I still caught that glimmer,
Inside of that frown,

He spoke mostly soft,
And explained a great deal,
He looked undernourished,
Like he needed a meal,

I offered him dinner,
I cooked him a feast,
I cooked it by hand,
He was hungry to say the least,

His eyes opened wide,
He smiled at me then,
So I asked was he pleased,
With Christmas again,

He put out his hand,
And thanked me right there,
He turned away,
And said Christmas is here.

Blood To Sweat

A million thoughts,
A shad to grey,
I’m bound my passion,
Wherein I lay,

My eyes are blind,
I see with touch,
The heat begins,
And crave so much,

A lasting hour,
I scream for more,
To won’t let go,
Ignite the spore,

Our beating blood,
Combines to sweat,
Discovering who,
Our souls have met.

Cloud Nine

I have heard
people speak
of it,
as if it were a
paradise-
or something,
as if they were
floating
and nothing-
really mattered,
a place with
no meaning
or existence
from reality-
only within
a thought,
it happens
not often-
and life
dares you
to stay on it,
it’s a place called
cloud nine.

Shadowed Footsteps

So lost without
a reason,
So trapped
inside a care,

The weight of
endless absence,
From hurt when
you’re not there,

Until our eyes
are focused,
Locked and
seen as one,

You’ll shadow my
every footstep,
Until my
day is done.

Untouched

Sound of an
empty feeling,
A walk to clear
the lost,

An existence
drowning in lonely,
As if our path
uncrossed,

I feel inside
your presence,
A sense of a
goodbye touch,

To dream this
long without you,
And dream of
you so much.

My Cry

I lie inside myself,
Shadowed and cold,
All alone,
As I unfold,

With no one there,
And the darkened lights,
The heavy rain,
And the endless nights,

Where are you,
I’ve reached out before,
Can you hear me,
Can’t take anymore,

Are you up there,
Hear my cry,
Answer me,
Before I die.
