Silence In the Wind

Close your eyes and imagine,
If you listen closely-
You can hear it-
The silence in the wind.
The swooshing sounds,
Breeze going by.
Can you hear it?
The fall of the water,
The chirp of the cricket,
The song of the bird,
The cry of the wild--
All silenced for
A moment in time.
The silence that calms your heart,
Soothes your mind,
And comforts your soul.
The same silence of
Relaxation--
The same silence of
Solitude and serenity.
It's in the sun,
It's in the clouds,
It's in the sky,
And in the stars at night.
It's in the air,
It's everywhere,
It's the silence in the wind.

Friend Promise

My dear friend,
We have come soo far down this road called life,
Steady side by side.
Faithful to our friendship.
You have been my strength in time of need,
So this I will promise you.
if you get weak along the way-
I will share my strength with you to keep you strong.
If you get weary and tired as you walk,
If you loose faith and trust along the way,
I will remind you that God said it will be ok!
If you do happen to fall apart,
I will be there to help put you back together.
If you feel sad and need to shed a tear,
I will be there to cry along with you.
If you stray away and get lost-
I will be there to help guide you back.
Because you have done all this for me
In my desperate time of need--
My dear friend,
This is my friend promise (to you).

I'M On My Way To Heaven

I'm on my way to Heaven,
And there ain't no turning back.
I'm on my way to the Holy land,
To hold my Saviors hand.
I'll leave this old world behind,
And I'll go to a brand new place.
I'm going up to my new home,
To see my Savior's face.
And when I get there,
The angel's will rejoice in His name.
We'll all give God the Glory,
For he is worthy to be Praised.
So if you want to go with me,
Up to the mansion the Lord has prepared--
Just praise the Lord and hold his hand--
Beause we're on our way to Heaven.

Eskimo Kisses

Another day, get up! the sun is out!
Time to run around and scream and shout!
But you lie in bed half asleep,
Fussing and whining, "just 5 more minutes, I'm so beat!"
No you can't , come on, lets go!
Got lots to do today, don't you know?!
Got tests to take and gas tanks to fill,
Dishes to wash and bellies to fill.
Clothes to wash, dry ,and put away,
Floors to sweep and time to pray.
I have bills to pay and errands to run--
My work is constant, I never get done!
I'm on a tight schedule, so get up, let's go!
See you at 5, we'll get dinner to go!
Now tell me all about your school day
While you eat your supper, Oh, don't forget to pray!
I've got to read the mail and dust the house,
Clean the kitchen and straighten the couch.
Yes-- I am listening, don't you know I can juggle?!
But you want me to stop? you just want to cuddle?
Oh, okay, I'll take a big deep breath.
I'll stop the cleaning, I'll stop to rest.
Now tell me again how much fun you had!
You know your happiness always makes me so glad.
Everyday when I look at you,
I see such beauty, And I thank God for you.
You know you are my kin-and that's a real big blessing.
You make me laugh, even when I am hurting.
Don't grow up too fast, have fun and be merry.
Enjoy life's fruits and don't let burdens get too heavy.
Remember to be a child, Remember I am your mom.
Don't worry if you get weak, I'll be here to keep you strong.
Now go on, get in bed! It's time to get some sleep!
Tomorrow is another day, so sleep! And don't make a peep!
But before you close your eyes tonight, I'll give you your eskimo kisses!
Because they make everything alright, & they remind me how much I'm blessed.
No matter all the errands, the cleaning, and the chores,
Or even at the end of the day my feet and back are so very sore--
No matter what things go my way, I count on those Eskimo Kisses
To give me peace at the end of the day!

When You Outgrow Your Shoes

Just to sit and look at you,
To admire the person you have become.
To see how much you have grown--
Makes me happy and sad all at the same time.
I am happy because you followed my directions,
And you are succeeding in your life.
You have set goals and have overcome obstacles.
You neve give up and you do the very best you can.
It makes me happy when I see that smile on your face,
To hear your voice giggle and to know that I can still
Hug and squeeze you like the little child you once were.
But my heart is sad because
You can't walk and dance on my feet no more,
You cant sit on my lap and play pat-a-cake like you use to,
And I cant carry you in my arms like I use to.
You are growing up, and although there is a
great big world out there for you to discover,
Each new day is a new leaf turned ,
And an old memory put into the past.
There is such a unique bond between a mother and her child,
It is too special to fathom or even explain.
You want your children to grow up and become someone special,
But you dont want it to happen too fast.
And before you know it, their whole infant and toddler years
Have flashed by in a moments time --
And you are looking and thinking back of when you use to
Hold and cuddle them and sing them lullabies to soothe them to sleep.
So, my dear daughter, although you got some time still to grow,
When you outgrow your shoes and you have left home---
I will still be looking back and will remember
The person you were and the wonderful person
 You've grown to become.

Lord, Lead Me

You say, "trust in me, have faith".
But soo many have stolen my trust and
My faith does not amount to as much as a mustard seed.
Lord, please do not give up on me.
You say, "I will never leave you, I'll always be by your side".
But many have left me-- alone , broken hearted, and scared.
Lord, please, I cannot bare another lonely day. Be with me.
You say, "I will lead you, Follow me."
But my feet cannot move, I am stuck to the ground.
My legs are paralyzed.
Lord, I cannot do it. I need your help.
Pull me out, pick me up,
I need your helping hand.
I feel like a tumbleweed blowing in the wind--
With no set direction , And no where to begin.
Miles and miles of desert, as far as the eye can see --
Lord, I pray you will lead me.
Lead me to where you want me to go.
Take me places Lord I cannot get to on my own.
Help me reach my goals and my destiny.
Lead me Lord, to your doors.

I Thought About You Today

This morning when I woke up,
I had one thing on my mind.
It was you who I was thinking of,
I think about you all the time.
I thought about your gorgeous face,
And how I loved seeing you smile.
I always loved to hear you laugh,
My time spent with you was worth while.
I thought about your dark brown eyes,
And how deep they always looked.
You always stole my heart away,
With your mesmerizing look.
I thought about your big strong arms,
And the way we use to hug.
You always made me feel so good,
We always liked to cuddle up.
I thought about your soft black hair,
And how I use to run my fingers through it.
I always made you fall asleep,
And you always seemed to love it!
I thought about your sexy voice,
And how we always would talk on the phone.
I loved to hear you talk to me,
Your voice always made me feel so warm.
I thought about your sweet touch,
You were always so gentle and kind.
You always knew how to hold me,
I felt so good knowing you were mine.
I thought about the way you made me laugh,
You always had something funny to say.
I never worried about the time we spent,
Because I knew they would be good days.
I thought about your comforting words,
That helped me when I was down.
You always seemed to cheer me up,
And knew how to wipe away my frowns.
I thought about the times that I cried,
You were right there to wipe away my tears.
I knew I could depend on you,
When I needed someone there.
I thought about the silly things we did,
And all the fun times that we had.
I wish it could all be the same again,
If only I could have you back.
I thought about the love we shared,
And how strong our relationship was.
I wonder if it could ever be the same again,
And if love was still meant for us.
Now as I lay down to sleep,
I have one last thought of you,
I wonder if we could ever get back together,
Because I can't stop thinking of you.

If You Were Still Here

If you were still here,
All the lonliness in my heart would drift away.
If you were still here,
I'd wish for you to always stay.
if you were still here,
You'd wrap your arms around me.
If you were still here,
You'd tell me how much you loved me.
If you were still here,
There'd always be a smile on my face.
If you were still here,
I'd have better days.
if you were still here,
I wouldn't be here crying.
If you were still here,
You'd be here to dry my eyes.
If you were still here,
We'd be having soo much fun.
If you were still here,
We'd laugh all day long.
If you were still here,
You would hold me late at nite.
If you were still here,
You'd always assure me things would be alright.
If you were still here,
My soul would not be aching.
If you were still here,
My heart would not be breaking.
If you were still here,
Things would be different now.
But you have since left me,
And I sit and wonder how??
You are gone now,
And there's nothing I can do.
But if you were still here,
You'd see how much I love you.

Until I Found You

I use to think that dreams were only fairytales,
That they didnt really come true.
I thought I'd never feel love again-
But I never thought I'd meet you .
I use to think love wasnt for me-
That I wasnt suppose to be happy.
I was always sad and always crying,
But than you came along and put a smile on my face.
I always thought I was suppose to get hurt,
That it was the way things were suppose to be for me.
I didnt know I could feel so much joy,
I didnt know it could happen for me, to me.
I didnt know there was someone out there
Who was waiting for me to be loved.
I didnt know it was you waiting,
But now I know you are my one true love.
Until I found you, all I knew was pain.
Until I found you, all I felt was sadness.
Until I found you, all I did was cry.
But than you came along-you changed my life.
I use to think dreams were only fairytales,
Until I found you .

Just Promise Me You'Ll Try

You don't have to promise me the moon and the stars,
I won't have any use for them.
You don't have to promise me the heavens in the clouds,
Because I know someday I will be up there.
Don't promise me all the money in the world,
I know I can get my own.
Don't promise me diamonds and pearls,
I am not much of a material girl.
Don't promise me you'll love me forever,
Because someday that love will fade.
Don't promise me you'll always be there,
Because people tend to drift away.
Don't promise me you'll try harder,
There will be no room for mistakes.
Don't promise me promises that you can't keep,
Promises are meant to be broken.
Just promise me you'll try.
You'll try to make me happy.
You'll try to see past my imperfections.
You'll try to see what I don't see.
You'll try harder.
You'll try, just promise me that.
