Mortality

I am at ease with my mortaliti.

I house no Thanatophobia
No fear overflows the dam.

Though Death I do shun
My theatre question to Life remains so
When do we part?

Truth

It burns and it stays,
strikes deep inside,
reveals your ways.
rips apart places to hide.

It creates the Indignant,
it creates the Wrongfully Scorned,
the heretic pronouncing now the Maleficent,
and friendships lost not mourned.

In hope it is said,
rarely is it well received,
open it is laid,
to help the deceived.

You scream out of shame.
With rage you shake.
insides aflame.
Because someone sees through the fake.

Hero

With rain pelting,
he stared into the eyes of the demented.
His cold heart not melting,
for foe's relationship with earth must be cemented.

With a flick and a wave,
a blade danced in the wet.
A close shave,
but no need for fret.

With graceful turn and heroic thrust,
the people were saved.
With one final gust,
the villain caved.

Amidst cheers and cries,
a saddened figure neared,
and carefully wrapped the corpse to ward off lies,
Ignoring the many who sneered.

Those who could have resolved this in peace,
Feared they could not.
And until Heroes of Violence cease,
Humanity will rot.

Ghosts

Do you see the Lost?
They wander in every street,
having paid the ultimate cost.
Cold hearts unable to beat.

They pass everyone by,
unable to touch.
They see only black sky,
any light is too much.

Misery is in overflow,
They share it with a wicked smile.
Upon strangers no love they bestow,
it is not their style.

Beware the Living Dead,
selfish and unfeeling in their insanity.
Beware the disease that is easily spread.
Behold Humanity.

The Monsters of Children

Downward the eyes face,
trying to blend,
wishing for a bigger place.
For wounds from Monsters rarely mend.

With cackle and glee,
the Monsters near.
Upon his face I see,
Pain, not fear.

After sowing torment,
the pleased Monsters up and leave,
Leaving the Child to lament,
And me to grieve.

The Monsters sneer,
Clinging to their mother's skirt,
Notice not the pain so clear,
or the hidden hurt.

Stars

Ever-present,
Gems with magnificent spark.
Never absent,
just lost in the dark.

Each an answer to a plight,
wanting to be traced.
Wish upon one in the night,
for dreams are to be chased.

But as city grows,
Dark is the endless sky.
Black with dogged sorrows,
Lights gone out with an exhausted sigh.

But when in fields far away,
when city is gone and you no longer fret,
in the sky they play,
the dreams of all, never met.

Never Too Late

In vain you uplift, believing your own deceit. No matter if you're not swift. Time shall allow you to accomplish feat. Now, curled up swaying, while unbelieving demented whispers roll, memento clutched so tight it's maiming, He who heeded fool words of comfort sits and faces the toll.
