To See What I See

My wish, for all seven and a half billion of us:
is to forget words like "yours" and "mine".
I wish for the world to see what I see:
that happiness, like the Sun, belongs to all of us.

I wish we could all realize, our unlimited capacity:
to accomplish things together, not by ourselves.
I wish to share the truth of teamwork, with all the world;
for the truth is that peace, is not a dream, it is a choice.

Sonnet of War

Sonnet of War

Written in 2014

There be a single cold fact, which no man can deny:

It be the ancient motif of war, engraved in human history.

Mankind seeks to justify war, thus he tells a soothing lie,

and to turn war into peace remains his greatest mystery.

Blood be the ink; with which mankind writes his story

the chosen pen, be the gun and the knife.

With pride he kills, for power, greed and glory,

so blatantly he refuses to share the great gift of life.

But hope yet remains, despite blood already spilled:

for the love in the present, may yet smite the hate of the past.

Love be the light, with which darkness may be filled,

from a mold of true hope, true peace can be cast.

This truth; has been true, since time and life began,

alas it seems War still be master, and his slave...be man.

Choice

Choice: the synonym of free will.
A crucial piece of the human puzzle.
If a human being was a handgun:
Choice would surely be it’s muzzle.
A machine has never died for another.
No machine has ever chosen, for who they bled.
Choice is the thing that separates,
the living from the dead.

Moonlight Sonnet

Moonlight Sonnet

A song masterfully crafted, by a man hard of hearing:
able to sooth any man or woman's ear.
Beethoven could barely hear, the crowd's crying and cheering
Still the beauty of his works, would not disappear.
Moonlight Sonata outlives, even it's composer's death
Like Moonlight; the Sonata shines upon the world.
Tis so human, it can rob one, of one's breath
for to describe its beauty, man possesses no word.
But always must I remove, my spirits from aloft,
When I hear the end-silence, of the sonata I adore:
Never again, will a song like a kiss be soft.
For the composer who had such power, composes no more.
I remain grateful, though I will never hear the moonlight, played in a great hall
For I would be worse off, if I had never, heard it at all.

A Country Called Earth

This is what may be seen,
by eyes that look forward
passed fog and smoke,
of institutional making:

The people, burn national
building and flag
for they are made fearless by the robbery
of an entire planet's freedom.

A one world governance
is a one world potion for poverty
mother Earth is to be murdered
by monetary law.

I say; let flags burn and
be gone with invisible borders.
Let us pledge allegiance
to the country called Earth.

The Cigarette Quatrain

My first Marlboro, was given to me by a friendly bloke.
Little did I know it's more addictive than coke.
I went from three a day, to being permanently broke.
This story has made me depressed, I guess I'll have another smoke.

Thoughts and Dreams

Thoughts, are unlike dreams.
Unlike nightmares, full of screams.

If you wish to dream away your pain.
Thoughts, will render your efforts in vain.

Though others want the best for you.
Thoughts, will bring no rest, for you.

Another priceless night, made cheap.
Your thoughts, rob you of your sleep.

Morpheus's Method

Morpheus's Method

Two pills to choose from
quickly one must think.
One, with Morpheus shall remain
the other, one must drink.

Blue is one, it is the ice that freezes you
into the life of a blind and deaf mule.
Red is the other, it ignites the fire within
and becomes that fire's fuel.

Only one may be swallowed.
The importance of choice, you must see.
Blue, causes continued blindness
and red, sets the mind free.

This is the method of Morpheus
used in a search, so long ago begun.
Until Morpheus finally freed the man,
who would become, The One.

The One, who would see in green code
and bring things broken, to mend.
The One, who took the beginning
and introduced it to the end.

Ons En Ons Grond

Ons is beskaaf, want ons kan bome af kap
en stukkies hout aanmekaar lym.
Ons is nie diere nie;
