Beacon of Light

As shadows dance in the night
I pray for a light to shine bright
Words to guide and protect me
You have a gift can’t you see?

Whispers cut in the dark
Doubts creep in to cut and tear
Words will guide and protect me
You have a gift won’t you see?

Misguided intentions become inventions
Of the mind heart and soul
Must believe words can guide me and protect me
You are the gift wish all would see…

Beacon of light shining bright…

Rdw

Your essence is still and will always be with us

Your unlimited love and compassion a beacon

For those in need of acceptance and comfort

Your smile a sign of divine joy and content

Your embrace all-encompassing and warm

Your humour could brighten any dark mood

Your wisdom a gift from God

Your absence a daily struggle in life’s bubble

Your legacy pulls us through
As we declare daily our love for you…

The Architect Ode To An Orange Cement Mixer

Ideas become reality in your belly
Raw ingredients are added for effect
Laboured limbs inject liquid food
It begins, sounds signal transformation

A cacophony of notes orchestrate
A fusion of materials cleverly made
Atoms collide as water subsides
Dry mixture almost expertly tied

Your creation up to imagination
Never the master of your own destiny
Your loins rhythmic to the fixation
Of another genius creating beautifully

A mansion, castle or glorified shed
All born from your glowing womb
Expectations destroyed and met
Artistic design from your living tomb

The Journey- Part 1

A fusion of cells result in a living mass
Of potential and hope, gift from God
Growing, each second life beckons
No identity; yet a spark ignites

It fights to survive, to thrive, stay alive
A stream of red feeds, nourishes, flourishes
Growing stronger feeling claustrophobic
It knows it, trying to close it, failing to expose it

Rushing emotions, tied down by contortions
Air around blows life abound
Inside that cave of comfort and devotion
Motion beckons; movement stirs

Realisation of existing, participating
Intellect stirs, tuition from body, mind and soul
Curiosity grows, bestows a fresh outlook on surroundings
Sounds abound, patterns evolving, language astounding

Throbbing of life, almost complete
Just starting out, life awaits what to give?
The journey, almost complete
Let’s wait and see for new breath to comfort and soothe…

Kc

The inner voice of a multitude
Your words and aching lamentation
Comforted generations still to soothe
Melting hearts liquefying emotions

You once bid farewell to love
Claimed no-one ever cared
If you should live or die
Would we now hear one more cry?

A fixed smile barred your pain
What if you only once shared the strain?
You sang of sweetest dreams come true
Glaring into eyes that adored you

Asking let me be the one
Yearning for a loving touch
How you longed to see the sun
The emptiness and lonely void too much!

Oh how your universe sparkled
You felt on top of the world
He made your feelings fly
And shone his starlight down on you

As each last note was played
You realized every promise he made
Broke before long, at the end of each song
How you searched for a place to hide away

Your loneliness oh what a sad affair
If only he promised a lifetime to share
A heart punctured, your essence fading
Finding the right one an eternal craving

There was nothing so hard
As convincing your brittle heart
That time would ease the pain
Your dwindling health such a shame

Your loved ones dear misunderstood your fear
They pleaded you leave your sadness behind
How you sometimes longed to quit
Yet your blessed voice would not admit

You were love’s greatest non-believer
Yet you saw the wonder in most everything
You left a beautiful lasting legacy

The radio still preaching your fantasy…

Obl

O.B.L

You, baptised head of the snake
Left numerous dead in your wake
With deadly order, resulting in murder
Twisted beliefs, vomiting grief

Your followers brainwashed
Their humanity crushed
Your force too strong
Resulting in a bloody throng

9/11 your earthly heaven
Mankind maimed and logic lame
Prayers and deepfelt wailing
Confess the outcry of your shaming

Your slumber resulting in 7/7
Your journey now away from heaven
The melting pot of anger brewing
The world a stew of terrorism anew

Your final hour televised this dawn
The snake’s wisdom decapitated
Jubilation, disbelief and buried grief
Your body left writhing…yet

Still a real, cunning threat…

The Sign

It does not need words, the Sign
symbols are all that’s needed, the sign
no words need to be spoken, a bond unbroken
souls connected, both protected...
the sign, your own design, the sign...
it speaks,
it dreams,
it sees,
there forever...

the sign....

The Silence

Timely words and thoughts have ceased
the lines are eerily quietly frozen; unused
no- one to blame; the silence a shame
days pass, minutes tick away, no one to say “hey”!

Circumstances break contact; thank God friendship still in tact
a brotherhood tested, devotion requested, a lifetime invested
a bond sealed, true friendship revealed
no doubt, say it out loud
what is friendship about?

We trust, we believe, we care, we share
 always there...

The Rose

The Rose

A blazing smile
Greets each bright morn
With sun kissed cheeks
It even softens a thorn

Adorned in a melody
Of colour and shades
A mood so calm and sweet
Even nature bows just to greet

Life’s ominous clouds
Wither away in the heavenly glow
Awe inspiring aroma
It captivates, delivering a fiery, splendid show

Nurture it
Appreciate it
Captivate it
Eternalise it…

The rose…

On Dit

On Dit… ( It is said…)

It is said that God exists
Some would argue something amiss
Believers battle to understand faith
For some it might be too late

It is said time and again
How earthly life was back then
Do we care or even wonder?
How the past or present drags us under?

It is said life is precious
Like a drama, in various sessions
Culprits maim, destroy and plunder
The naïve just live on amidst the thunder

It is said man has a conscience
How easily we believe any nonsense
We cheat, sin and judge
When all we need is a divine plunge!
