Ronald Meador Poem
I will take my Chainsaw and pruners too
Just to see what I might run into
I will ride the trail to the end
Then turn around and ride back again
It is a pleasant ride around the place
Just ride slowly with no sun in your face
If you ride too fast you will miss the view
So ride slowly and look all around the place
I will make a four wheeler path down the power line
It is all grown up and very hard to find
Ride the logging roads up and down the ridges
You will not be bothered with any bridges
Now it is a very smooth pleasant ride
In the past we walked it with pride
You may think I am insane or crazy
It just proves to me, I am not lazy

Ronald Meador Poem
As I set here just remenessing
I thank God for his large blessing
I think of bygone days and the present
I remember living on this mountain as a small boy
It seemed my days were filled with much joy
From age of seven, eight and nine
I thought life was just fine
I would stay on this mountain for three more years
Then came shocking news, I was full of fears
My family moved, it seemed to me, to a distant land
I was confused and sad, and did not understand
From a very small one room schoolhouse
I went to a much larger one, and was quiet as a mouse
Then I realized I had started my long journey of a lifetime
But with my persistence, and Gods help, I would do just fine
And now as I start my twilight years
God has taught me "don't have those many fears"
And now God lets me temporarily enjoy
This very mountain I enjoyed as a boy
He says don't worry about tomorrow
You may not even have one sorrow

Ronald Meador Poem
Happy birthday to my wife
A ray of sunshine in my life
Another year older, that is alright
Beacon Hill seems like last night
It seems our love even grows stronger
I hope we enjoy it much longer
So,what is another year
Let's jump and cheer
May your birthday be spent along side me
Maybe go to the mountain and just roam free
I'll be here as long as I can
It may be a long life span
Happy birthday have no fear
Look around, I’ll be here
May your day be merry and bright?
Hay; how about we get together tonight
Happy Birthday
&
Anniversary

Ronald Meador Poem
Happy birthday to you, my son
God blessed the day your life begun
It is great to realize I'm your Dad
And remembering the fun days we have had
When you were a small boy, we camped, your climb a tree
I realized then what a great blessing you were to me
You grow up and the great things you have done
Makes me very proud that your are my son
For success you no longer have to wait
Mommy said she is proud of the success you have had
But leaves the writing all up to your Dad
Be happy on your special day
With much love along life's way
I love you son, and I must let you know
But trust in you Heavenly Father wereever you go
Happy Birthday
With Love
Mommy and Daddy

Ronald Meador Poem
A Day on the Mountain
The snow is falling around
Bringing the mountain a new shiny crown
The leaves have fallen, it is end of summer
The mountain is in its winter slumber
We realize this is God’s natural way
So we adjust to a different type day
If things changed, and we had summer year
round
We would start complaining and want snow on the ground
He lets the trees and plants rest for a while
Then come spring they will be but to the trail
Sometimes winter can be a trying time
Causing us to just set around and whine
If we look around and see the beauty of it all
The leaves are beautiful with many colors of
fall
It’s another morning, it’s frosty and cold
But the sun is coming out to warm our soul
We’ll stay warm if we really try
Blessed with an abundant wood supply
God gives us strength to do what we must
If we put our efforts and actions in his trust
He says this is the way it is going to be
If we look around us, his blessings we well
see
If we will just trust him, things will be alright
Just throw another cover on the bed tonight

Ronald Meador Poem
As i recall my dear mother
I could have been happy with no other
She had many glorious days,
and heartaches too
some caused by me and things I would do
I regret many unruly things I did
But with her praying and God watching,
nothing could be hid we had many good
hours of blessings and joy just her and God and her only boy
She always taught us right from wrong
She was a lady that was might strong
When she got sick and went away
We did not try to persuade her to stay
God had another plan much larger plan
For him and her to stroll hand and hand

Ronald Meador Poem
I have a friend his name is Benny
Hours of laughter, we have had plenty
We have had good times around the old plant
I would call and say,are you going in? I ain't
Sometimes I'll call and say,how are you doing "Ole Buddy"
He will say pretty good, sometimes the road is a little muddy
He is a pretty good boy as boys goes
What he'll do next, no body really knows
I'll say Benny, I have retired you know
I have to rub it in, as off to work he'll go
I have written some sad poems, but I've decided to write one with humor, and not
so one sided
But getting back to my ole "Buddy" we all know I would mischievous and try to still
the show some of the humor you may not understand but believe me, old Benny
and I can
Sometimes the ole boy will just drop in we will have coffee, and tell some jokes
again
We'll take on odd jobs just to make ends meet we just can't stand any kind of
defeat I haven't seen him for a while, but I will soon sometimes he travels when
there is a full moon.

Ronald Meador Poem
A log cabin replaces the old homestead
Precious memories roam through my head
But we are making new memories day by day
A few to remember along lifes way
We must not try to live in the past
We are reminded, life will pass much to fast
So let us make new memories that well last and last
We must remember, life will pass much to fast
Lets make memories with family and friends
Before its to late and life suddenly ends
Our days are numbered, and we know not when God will call us and
say,welcome, come on in
some days life seems all wrong
But it will be beautiful if we are strong
So lets love each other until the end
Lets be there for each other through thick and thin
As you travel through life, think of Dad
Don't dwell on the failure, think of good times you had

Ronald Meador Poem
A Walk With Nature
I saw a robin setting on a post wondering what she would like to do next.
She could fly down and catch a worm or two and go feed her babies.
That is what she will do.
If we observe robins and nature and pay close attention we would all learn a
valuable lesson.
To think less of ourselves and more about others.
By sharing our blessings with hungry babies and brothers.
I am just an observer of nature’s great plan.
I am totally convinced it wasn't made by man it had to be created by a greater
power.
I am more convinced with each passing hour.
When you stay on the mountain as much as I do you will want to feed the
animals.
That makes them happy too I like to stay on the mountain as much as I can.
Even if some people would not understand.
I enjoy the peace and relaxation as much as I can.
Although there is beauty all across our nation.
I have been from the east to the west, but this is the place that I love best.

Ronald Meador Poem
Our Children
Shirley and i got married,we'll share some stories
Blessed with one little girl and two boys
Sandra started to school,I took her to the bus with the two little boys saying what
about us I said you are to young and your are too small you'll start school too,one
chosen fall
Years drifted by and they brought me so many joys that little girl and two little
boys
I made mistakes, some of the things I did
I never saw a manuel "How to raise a perfect kid"they are grown up now and i'm
so proud I could stand on a mountain and shout it out loud
I'm a little older and I'm so respected I'm not very good at the words of mouth I'll
try to write it down, it will still come out
