Yearning For

My heart yearns for love
My body yearns for someone to hold
My soul yearns for peace
Tell me what you yearn for

Words Do Hurt

Many people tend to think
“Stick and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”
But let me tell you the truth about that
Words are the one thing
That can drive a sane man insane
The hurt you get by those sticks and stones
Will heal faster than the hurt you get
From those words
Some people don’t realize that
They continue on everyday
Breaking someone down
Whether they know it or not
Truthfully they should know it
If the person isn’t smiling or laughing
Words are so powerful
So strong
So deadly
But still no one seems to take notice
Many teens are taken down everyday
By their peers
But their peers either don’t seem to care
Or don’t seem to notice
Most just don’t seem to care
Because I have seen so many people in school
Constantly bring people down everyday
And not give a damn about it
I think that we need to do something about this
Because words are so deadly
Many teens have killed their selves
Or have attempted to
Only because of the pain and torment
They went through either at home or at school
And it’s mostly at school
And we need to open our eyes to this
Not just blow it off to the side
Because sooner or later
Another teen is going to become apart of the statistic
Of killing their selves
Because of what people said to them
BEWARE

Life At the Beginning

A new life has begun
With the birth of my child
A new life has begun
With the renewal of my relationship
A new life has begun
With joining the navy
A new life has begun
With me beginning to see me

Saying Goodbye- Maybe For a Second

I never thought that
I would be saying goodbye to you
But I’m tired of not being loved
I’m tired of my feelings not meaning anything
I need a man who’s going to care for me
I need a man who’s going to love me for me
I need a man who’s not going to just have sex with me
I loved you and to be honest I still do
But do you love me is the question
If you love me…
And not second guessing your love for me
Then maybe we can work something out
I would love that
Let me know if you love me
I don’t want to say goodbye forever

Starting From the Beginning

There was a point in my life
When I thought that we were not
Going to work it out
But look at us now…
We are back together
Starting a new life
Starting a new relationship
Just starting over
I’m happy that you are trusting me again
I’m happy to be in your life
You have no need to worry
Because I promise to never hurt you again
I promise to be your one and only
Forever and ever

If Love...

If love is so painful
Why do we keep looking for it
If love is so wonderful
Then why does it keep on hurting us
If love is so real
Then why does it seem unreal to me

I Refuse

I thought that maybe
We could work things out
But I refuse to be let down
It always seems as if my feelings don’t matter
This can’t be ignored anymore
I never thought that I would be letting you go
But I refuse to let you hurt me anymore
I am tired of the make ups and break ups
It would be so much easier if you really loved me
I know there were times when we could have stop this
But I refuse to let this go on any longer

You Wanted To Know How I Felt

We were in and out
Of this “so-called” relationship for too long
Not letting each other know how we felt
Not really being in a relationship
I feel that it was solely based on sex
Don’t you think so…
Tell me when did we ever
Take time to talk to each other
When we were alone
When did we ever just sit back and relax
When did we ever just have fun with each other
I would have to say…
NEVER…
Yeah…
The sex was great…
But that’s not all I’m looking for
Maybe we do need to go our separate ways
Do our own thing
But still raise our child
I thought that maybe we could work this out
But then I realized that what we have isn’t real
Why do I say it’s not real
Because we don’t communicate
How can you have a real relationship and not communicate
NO…
You can’t have a real relationship and not communicate
I want someone who is going to tell me how they feel about something
Someone who isn’t going to hide their feelings
Someone who isn’t going to second guess their love for me
I wish that person was you

Behind Closed Doors

Many people look at the world
And only see what happens around them
But behind close doors
Baby, you just don’t know what is going on
You think that everything in the world is all fine and dandy
But in truth
There are so many problems
With the government
With the war
But does our so-called president
Tell us everything that is going wrong
No…
He just goes on throughout his day
Knowing that there are problems
In the world
That he know he needs some help with
But decides to try to do it on his own
And do it all his way
That’s what is really going on
Behind closed doors

Wondering About Yourself

Sometimes you wonder
How life is going to turn out for you
You think about how things should be
Or how you want things to be
But everything doesn’t always work out
The way you want it to
Sometimes it is best to let things happen
And if it goes wrong
Then you learn from your mistake
Don’t go on bringing yourself down
Saying that you know you could have done better
Or that you know you shouldn’t have did that
Just keep your head up
You’ll do better next time
Trust me, no one is perfect
