Stranger

Two-hundred and seventy-five friends on Facebook
One hundred and fifty-two contacts in my phone
Yet I hear dead silence
No tone
Solitude has become my friend
And everyone else were strangers

Strangers are dead people roaming around at night
Infected with deadly viruses 
That transforms them into something you can’t recognize

Strangers are unable to love
They can’t remember or recognize their friends
Yet they are programmed 
To end friendships
Walk away from the hives
That provides them with sweet tasting honey.

Strangers forgot that there is a cure
For their amnesia
Strangers forgot what it feels like to be alive
What it feels like to pick up the phone and call just to say hi.

Tomorrow is never promised
You never know when your last day is
You never know when you’re going to need someone
Don’t let your friends and loved ones be alone
Don’t be a stranger.
