For My Kids

My reasons to smile, my reasons to laugh
My heart and soul, you're everything I have.
I'd give the world to see the smile on your face.
Don't grow to fast life is no race,
Everyone goes their own pace.
I love you more than words could say,
never forget that mommy is here to stay.

Out of Love

Is this how it feels when you fall out of love?
It feels like the stars are falling from above.
The world is ripped from you unsuspecting hands.
You find yourself wondering through new lands.
Trying to hold on to what was good in the past
finding more reasons this thing will never last.
Words left unspoken thus far seem to slip
through your lips and reality slips from your grip.
You feel like you're on a non-stop trip.
Trying to figure out why you wound up here
in the first place, it seems like you will never
win the race. Everyone else is going a different
pace. The world spins faster and faster then
stops abruptly as you begin to fall.
You try to walk but can only crawl.

The Hunger

As lighting strikes
and rain falls,
thunder brings a
growing hunger.
Hunger
for another's touch,
just the thought
drives
you wild. Makes your
body tremble
and your mind
wanders. Cold chills
and
goose bumps dig
their claws in as
this hunger
gets stronger and
stronger. It seems
like you
can take it no
longer. Your body
floods
with so many
sensations, with
every touch
your body becomes
more sensitive.
As the thunder
growls and lightning
stikes
again your senses
are heightened as
your
heart races.

Out of Control

I'm sorry is just an excuse that you use
when you know you broke all the rules,
It holds no meaning when it's not sincere.
When the only think you hold is fear.
Torturing yourself more than the enemy.
Holding more anger than you think is possible
and holding no one in particular responsible.
Letting all the frustration build and letting it go
out of control.
What happens when rage is your only answer?
Perceiving every situation as a disaster.

Distraction

Throwing curves into the mix, there is no quick fix.
Spitting fiery words is just a distraction to
keep your eyes off the main attraction.
The way they move catches your eye,
the way they look makes your mouth go dry.
Growing angrier and angrier, the madness
sinks in. This one cannot stand to lose he
has to win.
Off in the distance you notice another,
you concentrate trying to keep your cover.
Temptation is hard to resist and you see
this one clenching his fist.

Inside

There is a beast inside that can no longer hide.
It's kicking and screaming as it crouches to crawl.
It's eyes burn bright and it's ready to brawl.
It slips on the ledge looking as if it will fall then
jumps down onto a hidden wall.
Taking in your screams of surprise and
from another corner it arrives.
Terrible and hideous it opens it's wings,
they are twisted and ripped
but it can still fly.
It fights and flaps and
takes flight. It absorbs the fear that is
near and grows stronger and meaner.
It swoops down to take on the next contender.
Not knowing this will be the ender.

Confusion

They say you don't know what you have till it's gone,
what happens when you know what you have and
no longer want it?
When that something seemed so right and
now is just so wrong, when something else had
your attention all along.
You stayed there to be held down,
spinning your head round and round.
You're bound for disaster, spiraling faster
and faster. Looking for every little button to push
to see how much it can take till it bends so far that
it breaks.
