Let's Talk What's Real

Some say the good gotta die
and you ain't a real man if you realize sometimes you gotta cry
some people need haze just to get high
and some single parents make just enough just to get by
so if you feel what I'm saying because you recognize realness
you also know it's hard to walk the hood with ya kids.

Some say a girls a hoe if she sleeps with a dude she just meets. But I disagree
maybe love is in the air or maybe she just don't care
who touches or does whatever to her body
and she wants to use it for show
to each his or her own but I don't know.

Most females think all the good men
are either locked up, dead, or gay
I doubt that's true to some extent
I could say the same thing bout women but that's irrelevant
but since I'm in some grown man zone
I think it's only right that I gotta phone home.

Beauty

I stared in the eyes of Beauty, and she was...
Everything I thought she would be
But when I saw her I was speechless
She noticed me I noticed her
Her fragrance was beautiful
She smelled like frankincense & myrrh
We made eye contact she gave me a lil smile
And kept walking
Then and there I knew I had to have this woman
I wanted to smell her beauty
I had to feel her touch I want to
Fall in love wit her not lust
I want her to fall asleep in my arms
Not just have sex & bust a nut
I want her to be my everything
I want her to take refuge in me
I wanna hear her say that she misses me
When I'm with her I wanna feel like I'm free
So I call out to her and I say...
I been looking for you
She says I been waiting on you
We converse in a conversation
And all the anticipation is thrown out the door
You see this woman just makes my heart soar
And her personality just makes me crave for
Her love even more
We exchange numbers and we go our separate ways
I know she's different from every woman I met
Because I ain't thinking bout gettin laid
And all I keep thinking bout is will we last
Or just be another fling
But a couple minutes later my cell phone rings... it's her

Why I Love You

It's no secret behind it
my feelings for you I mean
and God couldn't have sent
a more perfect woman for me I swear
and love was in the air
before I ever noticed it
before I ever noticed you
as far as love with another woman,
I didn't know what I was gonna do
but now... it's so crucial, so neutral
I found a woman so emotional,
so sensual and... That's Why I Love You.

I felt is so deep in my soul
this is the type of love
I just gotta keep on hold
I'm feeling like a concrete rose
that withered away with the
changing of the seasons
because now I realize why I went
threw what so much with other females
there's no more temptation
because you are the reason.

Three years of waiting,
my angel has finally come to pass
I love you, I want you, I need you
yea I see you, I close my eyes and
your smile is all I vision
me and you together for eternity
Lord Willing, you inspire me to never
stop writing what I've already written.

You're honest, respectful, affectionate,
Godly, virtuous, dedicated, and I love
how your so impatient when it comes to me
I thank God that he sent you to me
and at my darkest moment four days
before the new year he blessed me
with your presence, and I don't care
about where we are, as long as we're
together we can make the setting
and true people may wonder
how could we love each other
and just met, but honestly they
really don't have a clue.

You're my everything
and baby "That's Why I Love You"

These Niggas Ain'T Real

Tell me something,
To all y’all young brotha's
How do you define a real nigga
Is it that dude that’s defiling women,
Drug dealing, robbing & stealing
Claims he’s big pimping, saying he a “G”
Cause he did like 6 months in a detention center.
Is that what you call real? These niggas ain’t real.

What about the niggas that’s
Taking care of their kids
Handling Grown man biz and
Yeah he might have did a couple bids
Something like a three year sentence
And that’s real I ain’t kidding
But y’all ain’t listening.

See ya perception of a real nigga is so messed up
By age 18 most of our brothers
Are gonna be dead or in bloody hand cuffs
You out here trying ya luck
Robbing for a little bit of paper
Stop believing these rap artist
These niggas ain’t gangsta.

Problem is these niggas is so scared to be somebody
Scared they gone see somebody
They so used to being nobody
They think hustling & catching bodies is actually a hobby
But you know what they say ya mind is ya worst enemy
So it got ya heart full of hatred, jealousy, & envy
Got you thinking you addicted to cigarettes this generation is so dizzy
And I’m part of it, trying to make a change
So far the moment I’m so busy.

These niggas so caught up in the money
They overlooking the trap
Niggas at war & beefing so heavy they can’t relax
Thinking nobody loves them
Tell me where’s the loving?
Racism exist believe it or not
Everybody’s holding grudges
They ain’t realizing we all
Brothers, sisters, & cousins
But In the hood it’s survival of the illest
So called thugs claiming they the realest.

These niggas ain’t real I’m telling you man
When you get locked up or catch a little sentence
See how many of ya homies come and visit

Black Light

Looking back I wonder how we got here
I remember life when
we couldn't get right
every other day was a struggle
communication between
us would crumble
but somehow here we are

It was bad, but we both knew
that it should've been
better than what it was
for some reason in those bad times
it seemed to be more hate than love
but something clicked in both of us
our spirits aligned like the
pyramids on earth & Mars
even in my darkest hour
you light up my world
like a shooting star

we both at a time were lost
a future together seemed far
from our minds
but I look back and see
time was on our side

our relationship was on a
operating table
consumed with misunderstanding
each other which produced stress
we watched it fade away
and fall into cardiac arrest
but somehow we revived it
brought our unconditional love
for each other back to life
stronger than ever
and now I can't even begin
to picture life without you
all those thoughts of doubt left too
we done what seemed to be impossible
at a point and time
where we almost
in a sense flat lined

when I look at you I see new beginnings
I submerged myself in your ocean
and I don't even wanna
think about resurfacing
this is happiness on a new level
we both deserve it
no matter how I word it
my actions will always speak louder
this is what true love should look like
we emulate black love
we illuminate like a black light
our strength epitomizes black power

Facing Reality

It's a hard pill to swallow knowing that something
you worked and fought so hard for is just a lost cause
and you can't put life on pause, all you can do is wonder
and think what a fool you are
now there's a handful of people who think they can change
who their significant other is or who they used to be
love is blind and when you in love and want someone so bad
it's kind hard to see the light and everybody goes threw the b.s
but you try your best to make things right and you began to wonder
he or she isn't even trying despite the fact how far y'all came
they say their completely honest with but deep down you know their lying
and when you make time for them and they don't make time for you
tell me what do you do, what do you do when you think
every time you try to reach out to your mate the devils laughing in your face
and you finally realize all the time you spent trying to be the best man
she was never trying to be the best woman
you see you were looking for love but only found heartache in your left bosom
she was looking for a sex partner and thats whats real, but
behind this reflection in the mirror now after adding your relationship
up from it's ups and downs it get to be and seem so much clearer
she could never be the woman who you see yourself marrying
fact of the matter is she's just the woman with your child she's carrying
and the signs were there in the beginning that she was swimming in lust
and ashes to ashes dust to dust thats what the end of this relationship
was made up of, a relationship that never should have started
and now all you're left with is a broken heart thats dearly departed
and a mind thats critically injured and all you can say is, its my fault
sometimes we have faith in something thats nothing
something thats not there, one living in despair and another
just too in love to admit that despite of what her lifestyle has
always been like he's always forgive and forget, but in the end
it was his heart that was gonna be a homicidal casualty, but
thats just life I suppose and I'm just facing reality

Over Analyzing

Love is a dangerous game
kinda like Russian roulette
the balls in your court
place your bets
put it all on black
nothing is promised
no one is honest
completely
everyone hurts
sometimes the ones
we love the most
hurt us repeatedly
that's truthfully speaking

If you love it go get it
if it's broke go fix it
pride and ego
create spite & bitterness
don't make decisions
when ya emotions are high
true love doesn't last unless
you give it a try
ups & downs
that's apart of the game
like a two dollar bill
some things never change
change ya outlook on life
and that man might
change ya name
and make you his wife
it's a roll of the dice
it all depends
on the come out
trust your instincts
over analyzing causes doubts

Cold War

The war it's cold with no signs of any ending, it's like adding another twenty years to a life sentence, even in the heat of the moment lies a cold kitchen, with lukewarm souls, in a dark prism, what's a prison to a free spirit, probably on the scale that some of us think we're worthy of Gods merits, here in the west we know nothing of true devastation, Christians over here see persecution as being verbally abused, the war is cold and that's what they claim their hearts are, but I know real saints who died for the cause real martyr's, and that's a real thug not the lames that holla thug life cuz they gotta brick and a sawed off, I wonder would you still die for ya block if they made you watch ya kids get their ligaments sawed off, the war is cold and everybody claim they gotta heart to match it, but wouldn't dare die for their comrades no full metal jacket, this cold war is heating up is enough ever enough, spiritual warfare is live and well enough bodies to fill up countless dump trucks, only the strong survive and by survive I mean live on in eternity, going threw hell on earth stepping outta that firery furnace with no wounds where the Messiah rains so fervently

Broken

No regrets behind unrestricted emotions
especially when you're soaking in what seems real.
Peace be still, calm storms are rarely ever quiet,
seems like we're all pirates in this world
always stumbling across fools gold,
trying desperately to hold on what we can't keep,
sometimes in this world you gotta keep that smoking ace up your sleeve
expect the best but prepare for the worst,
what's the worst than can happen?
Finding out the person you gave your all to
isn't who you thought they were,
everything else is a blur
but it slowly starts to make sense
once you give it more thought and less emotion,
neglecting to make decisions with your mind will leave you heart broken

Mixed Feelings

Woman after woman,
it almost seems thats the story of my life
but I can't figure out who's wrong who's right
so what do I do, just remain outta sight
so here I go again back to the night life
I mean I'm done wit the street life
beefing wit niggas, dealing wit all the anger strife
but as far as my love life
I got mixed feelings if I really wanna meet
that woman who's gonna hold me tight
so in a certain sense I gave up trying to find my wife
and because fallin in love is too painful
I had to get on another angle
because we it comes to love I always became
emotionally tangled and some say I'm a angel
who speaks the truth so some wanna hang you
but now I see why most people
are afraid of love, eh I'm wit you,
all of the heart brake I faced I don't blame you

And right now I guess I'm flying away
I'm just in my own zone and in a way,
I'm waiting for the Lord to carry me home
I feel so alone, and thats because
this love thing, ain't what it seems
and this is truthfully speaking that thing I once
called true love from a woman for some reason
I'm just tired of reaching, tired of keeping my word,
giving my all and I don't get the same, but who's to blame,
It doesn't matter you know what they say mind over matter,
so it's time I fly away wit heartbrake because
honesty it's hurting me to stay
