Jimmy Mxxxxx Poem
Note: Written from the perspective of a teenager.
Our older brothers and sisters
Were the last to live without technology
Our generation wouldn’t last a day
Without a cell phone in their hands
It’s too late for most.
Our younger brothers and sisters
Are growing up with technology
A ride in the car requires an iPad
Without a screen life is unbearable
It’s too late for most.
Our moms and dads
Are already adjusted to technology
There lives wouldn’t function without their computer
Technology is not a problem
The way we are getting used to it is.

Jimmy Mxxxxx Poem
A day spent in nature is better than most
From the verdant grass to the mountainous trees
The chirping of birds and even the bees
The wind blowing through your hair
The smell of flowers in the air
Make you want to stay outside all day.
If storms come to your dismay,
Don’t be upset, just enjoy the beauty of it
The splatting rain and powerful thunder
Make you stare in awe and wonder
Why not do this every day?
Once the night approaches,
Stare fixated on the blazing sky and sunset,
And gaze up at the stars and forget
The worries of yesterday and tomorrow
A day spent in nature is better than most
