Vasudevan Desikachari Poem
Corona
--------
Oh ! Aghast ! This is the deadliest
treacherous , relentless war ever
waged against humanity by that
invisible satanic overlord virus Corona by name;
the virus of seemingly insurmountable
energy of vengeance and hatred out
to wipe out humanity
Rise mankind! Rise now !against
this demonic Corona .to
fight a battle of wits- for your survival
mankind you must confront
and destroy this hater of human race Corona
fight gallantly with all your might
with prudence utmost , courage and brevity
to quell the venomous pangs
of this invisible snake …..Corona ,
render it useless and headless to
to quit into
a realm of oblivion or 'no man's land;
and never ever to show its ugly face
to restore Earth's peace and serenity
Let this Earth remain for ever the land for
the human race and human race alone

Vasudevan Desikachari Poem
Darling Oh! my sweet darling
Don't you know our Earth
Our sweet Earth is now
in the grip of a monster virus
whose name it is Corona
It catches with grip steel
of men women and children
who dare to have contacts
with each other by the hand
or with that kiss passionate
of warmth and kindness .....
shall we do away with these
at least for now for sometime....
till' Time' vanquish this deadly virus
Corona from our beloved Earth

Vasudevan Desikachari Poem
Mother Teresa, I salute thee!
Thou art,a pious soul and
Indeed God's chosen messenger
and harbinger of hope to millions
of suffering downtrodden -
destitute women,orphaned children
Sick men and women and lepers
whom the society hated to see even;
The gentle touch of thine hands
healed their sufferings and gave them
A ray of hope to live and self-assurance;
And indeed you've performed miracles
Which the Pope has recognized, and of
which in your noble life time
You never even spoke or mentioned
And that speak volumes of your humility;
And you lived a glorious life of selfless service
To the uncared for poor and innocent humans
And I look forward to the day
The great church of God bestows
Sainthood on thee so that the world
would soon remember thee as Saint Theresa
God's chosen soul and saint of the twentieth century
I salute thee Mother Teresa!

Vasudevan Desikachari Poem
Let not my mind be
bogged down by the
darkness of avarice, jealousy
ego and conceit; instead
Let the 'Light' of thoughts
of 'Service to suffering humanity
pervade my heart and mind
on this day of auspiciousness,
Deepavali.
