Change the World

Getting out of the misery and sorrow,
To build a better and brighter tomorrow,
Everyone makes mistakes, it's only natural,
It's how you pick yourself up without any collateral,
The hardest thing is not knowing at all,
What it is that you want, be it short or tall,
Uncertainty is so painful and petrifying,
Eating away at your mind and so terrifying,
No need for goodbyes because there never was any connection,
Reality seeps in like a shocking injection,
So this is it, the dialogue ends and goes no further,
The pen will dry up, equivalent to murder,
Because creativity subdued is torturing potential,
but being your true self is instrumental,
for when you discover yourself you and then ready,
to discover other people and build a home that is steady,
thousands of starfish to save but you can't save them all,
you have the power to change the world, it's your call.

The Sun

The sun is soon to go down,
Serenity will descend on the town,
A peace that is so special, like a bride,
My identity, is who I am with pride,
You can't discover when you don't look,
A person needs more reading than does a book,
Because in a book the words are black on white for all to see,
However with people you have to delve deeper than deep,
To discover that what you already know,
Let the emotions and feelings grow,
How high will the sycamore tree grow?
Cut it down and you'll never know.
The sun will continue to go down and rise,
and sees all with its yellow, smiling eyes.
