Three Things

Three things are certain:
Death, love, betrayal of self.
A work of art indeed.

Myself

I celebrate myself…
I am a diva.

I sing to myself…
I am a poetess.

I love myself…
I am a spirit.

I appreciate myself…
I am a soul.

I respect myself…
I am a warrior.

I honor myself…
I am a Queen.

I esteem myself…
I am a woman.

Love Is a Gamble

Love is a gamble,
And this I’m surely losing.
I lost the ability to make a wise choosing.

Not that I ever made a good choice,
I hear my heart cry out in a loud voice:

‘LOVE ME, CHOOSE ME, AND STAY WITH ME!’

Don’t get me wrong, I‘ve met some guys,
But I want one that’s attractive to my eyes,
The eyes of my spirit, of my soul,
A young Godly man who is sound and whole.

I’ve dreamed and waited, but nothing happened,
Fantasized, envisioned, and it never happened.

Love is a gamble, and I know I am losing,
I wait for the perfect guy,
But who am I fooling?
I am surely losing the game.

Solitaire my fortune,
Fortune my fame.

You Saved Me

When sadness came to make me its home inside of me.
When all looked dark and hopeless,
when pain was the only sensation
that took its dominance over me,
You saved me.

When the enemy put his cold, dark, hand upon me,
My life to kill me,
When tears were the only food I partook of every night,
When I longed for death
Because I need to be relieved from my misery,
You saved me.

When I felt like a loser, that my life would never change,
When my world stopped turning and everyone passed me,
When I just could no longer take it,
You saved me.

You placed me upon a rock and kept me safe from my troubles.
You reached down to me and allowed me to feel your love.
You made me feel important and that you listened to me.
You are my best friend ever.
I needed you. I still need you.
When I turned my back on you and sought other companions,
When I started making poor decisions
And going slowly out of my mind,
When I started to relive my painful memories,
You saved me.

Color of Love, Pt. Two

It was the color of their love,
White for purity.
Wrapped in the sheets of fate,
Threshing around uncontrollably…
To the point of no return.

It was the color of their love,
Purple for the skies that watched over them,
Raining down showers of relief and want.

It was the color of their love,
Green for Paradise.
Lying down in the grass of relaxation,
Staring into each other’s eyes, helplessly falling into one another’s being.

It was the color of their love,
Yellow for the sun shining on their skin,
Scorching souls united in one’s breath…
One moment.

It was the color of their love,
Pink for shades of love and ecstasy that they had only dreamt of,
The mystical presence of the ‘Goddess of Love’ entering the abode, saturating
their souls.

It was the color of their love,
Orange for the rays animating royalty and blessings of their union, as they held
each other reverently,
Desires whispered like a prayer.

It was the color of their love,
Silver for the moon beholding the consummation of their vows to one another,
desires flowing that were never felt,
Secret dreams becoming reality.
Love being freed and dealt,
As they fall into the mystery of the Universe, shivering completely from the power
of their mere existence.

Color of Love , Pt. One

It was the color of their love,
Red for desire.
Escaping form the cauldron of the forbidden,
Burning in flames of passion and fate.

It was the color of their love,
Blue for dreams.
Shades of surreal. Waterfalls of destiny,
Raging, roaring to be freed.

It was the color of their love,
Black for midnight.
In darkness the gates open,
The root is planted.
The garden bubbles in pleasure undeniable.

It was the color of their love,
Brown for earth.
Bronze covers mango, in waves of unadulterated,
Cultured, liquid life,
Stirring, erupting, screaming, abandon form vessels who never
Knew such power could escape form their mere existence.

The Father

God, You are my Father,
You are my Friend.
I know You will be with me until the end.
Faithful and True, You are to me,
Seeing the very best in me, instead of the horrible person I know I must be.

Why You put up with me is beyond my comprehension,
Your deep unconditional love for me defies explanation.
I am a child of hell and that’s where I belong,
But You were very present and I felt Your love so strong.

You keep the ‘enemy’ at bay when he desires to come in like a flood; I know that I
am covered in Your precious shed blood.
Lead me in Your glory; lead me in Your plain path and way,
So I can have eternal life and live with You someday.

I want to see You and look upon Your face,
When life is all over and we’re in that Holy Place.
AND ALL Your people shall worship You in sincerity and praise Your Holy Name,
Come into my heart and change me, so that I many never be the same.
I love You, dear Jesus, and I am sorry for walking away,
I need Your guidance to live my life today.

You are my Best Friend, True and Divine,
I can’t believe that I can call You mine.

Forgive me for leaving You; help to never turn away again,
Pour out Your mercy and compassion, falling upon me like heavy rain.
Never leave me Jesus,
See the child inside of me,
Make and mold me, Jesus into what You need me to be.
Thank You Jesus, Thank You Lord,
Help me to keep us on one accord.
Thank You Lord. Amen.

A Tribute To the Father

God picked me up,
Turned my life around.
Gave me a new spirit,
and placed my feet on solid ground.

God put a smile on my face,
sent me on my way.
Gave me courage and strength
to see another day.

God has been good to me.
HE lifted my chin and allowed me to see,
I am the mighty strong Diva He created me to be.

God is my Savior, He is my Friend,
A comforter.
The First and The Last,
The Beginning and The End.

God picked me up.
He transformed my life.
He created and did a new thing,
took away all sorrow and strife.

His mercy and truth endures.
Thank You God,
Ancient Of Days,
Alpha, Omega, Lily of the Valley…

You are worthy to receive all glory, honor, and praise!

Love Doesn'T Love Me

Love doesn't love me,
my life is proof enough.
Full of pain, heartache, betrayal, and violation.
Love doesn't love me;
my life seems empty,
while others drink of love,
drunk by its pleasant taste yet bitter sting.
I die unwillingly.

Love doesn't love me,
why should I die alone?
What have I done that bears
such weird, wicked punishment
by not being embraced?

Let the Magic Fall

Won’t you all,
Let the magic fall.
This youthful bliss,
Between Mister and Miss.
As they dance the evening away,
From the light of day.

Won’t you all,
Let the magic fall.
As two people come together to proclaim such affection,
The ultimate state of grand perfection.

Won’t you all,
Let the magic fall.
Love being embraced,
The past erased.
Expectation of love,
A gift from God above.

The ultimate dream…
Wouldn’t it seem?

LET THE MAGIC FALL.
