Lee Locklair Poem
'A Rivers Quiet Gift'
Secrets lie beneath the dark clear water..only time has heard it's existence and the
stories it tells...drifting slow with the current of glass, I try to picture myself in
another time...when simpler joys meant more to life than wealth...when nature
provided with willing hands...and happier we were that she taught us well...
the quite she gives allows us these reflections of thought that remain spiritual
in our hearts..moments so silent that even time stops to listen...
Precious is the gift when it unexpectedly comes without making a sound....

Lee Locklair Poem
My Best Friend:
I have treated this body so poorly..yet still it fights for me.
Reminding me when to eat..when to sleep..when to drink.
It gives me pain when it is time to reflect on the cause.
It gives me the opportunity to change, over and over again.
It rewards me with movement so that I may see new things.
It executes my unearned gift to create an artistic impression.
It informs me that anger hurts by the knotted pain in my stomach.
It gives me compassion in my heart and is shown by the tears I shed.
I am lucky to be blessed with this body.
And I hope it continues it's faithful knowledge.
Casting it my way.
