As you walked into the light that shined upon the street
Your eyes met mine and my heart skipped a beat
You were just like an Angel being sent from above
Reminding me the feeling of being in love
So I kept my distance whenever you came near
Afraid from my feelings because love's what I fear
I kept my heart locked with a key I would not give
Scared that you may hurt me so I refused to let you in
But when it finally came down to telling you goodbye
I opened up my heart to you and allowed myself to try
Now my heart is aching for someone I barely know
I hope I never half to learn to let you go
The way I feel for you I can't quiet explain
It makes my heart accelerate and it's driving me insane
though distance may separate us at times while we're apart
But I'll treasure every moment and hold you in my heart

As I'm here all by myself, memories past through my mind
My heart missing you so much as the tears fall from my eyes
Trying to stay positive, awaiting your return again
For the day that I'm reunited with my love, my best friend
You tell me not to worry, to stand up and be strong
I try so hard my darling but every second feels so long
Remembering all that we've had, are the simple things I miss
How your arms would feel around me and awakening to your kiss
Facing sleepless nights, the loneliness it brings
Would send my love to you if my heart could grow some wings
I will never love another, my days they are so blue
And you will always forever be, the man that I love true

The feelings that we're feeling
Are progressing more and more
The deeper they keep getting
Builds a much need to explore
The earth's cosmic forces
Are uniting us as one
By linking us together
Through the moon, stars and sun
The pure surge of energy
Is getting harder to resist
Both positive and negative
We know together can exist
Trusting what is real
And trusting what is true
With you really needing me
And me really needing you

I've been missing you, wishing you were here
Holding me so close, wiping away my tears
Being without you, my heart aches so much
How much I need to feel your tender loving touch
You know I need you here by my side
Cause everything around me just doesn't seem so right
And so I wait for you to walk on through my door
To wrap my arms around you and to love you even more
I know the path's that taken is out of our control
But I will continue to wait here with fishnets and a loaded bowl

My heart, so broken and unsure
So scared, so young and still so pure
It's been hurt and damaged so many times
Ripped apart, shattered and heard so many lies
Tired of trusting, afraid to care
Just once would like to find someone who'd be there
To simply listen and understand
My wants, My needs and All My plans
Can't let anyone in, but still can't let go
Afraid from the past, worried of what the future beholds
So I'll shelter my heart in every way I can
So it could never cry or hurt again
