Every Child Has the Right

There isn't one single child alive
In the world out there,
That doesn't have the right to be loved by someone
That really does care.
Every child has the right to feel wanted
And to know that every single day,
No child should feel abused,
Or hurt repeatedly in different ways.
Every child deserves to feel real joy
That is visible in their smile,
That when a child is sick or scared
There is someone to hold them for a while.
Every child has the right to feel validated,
And to be the "star" on their own stage,
No child should be violated
Or subjected to an adult's rage.
All children should be able to shine,
Just beautiful in their own light,
For all these things and more,
"Every Child Has The Right" !!

Send the Troops Home

A necessary evil in this world is war, that is for sure,
It's necessary to use force, so human dignity and rights may endure.
What's evil is all the blood money lining top government pockets,
So many innocent people are dying and only government can stop it.

Who really knows how much money they intend to make,
How much money is worth all those innocent lives that are at stake?
How much longer is the United States going to justify staying in Iraq,
My personal opinion is oil is less important than dying soldiers under attack !

Saddam is in jail, a new government is now in place there,
Now leave them alone !
It's time to get more help for Katrina victims,
SEND THE TROOPS HOME !

Don'T Stop Yourself

Loving yourself sounds wierd, but really it's not,
You must be your own best friend; The best one you've got.
The only person stopping you, my friend . . . is you !
You have to keep your head up no matter what you go through.
Choose not to continue living in the shadows of your mistakes,
The true measure of life is the size of your heart, not your bank account or estate.
You will only get everything life has to offer, if you are content just to give,
The value of everything will be your's and you'll receive it everyday you live.
Loving the person you are, is what you need to do to really LIVE everyday,
So everyday you have is treated like a gift, in it's own unique way !

Enjoy Life

Enjoy life and all it offers
Every single day you've got,
Look at all you've accomplished
Without focus on what you have not.
If you live in the moment,
That is the best way to live,
Don't keep score of what you've got coming,
Be content just to give.
We all have the ability
Of being someone eager to take part,
In all life has to offer
With grace and an open heart.
Enjoy a sunset, a child's laughter,
Simple beauty of a flower,
That will give you inner peace,
Not to mention a spirit that's empowered.
With the right attitude your future can be so bright,
It can really gleam,
That empowerment you feel
Can carry you into your greatest dreams.

The Battlefield

There are a lot of wars,
None greater than the battlefield in your mind,
The question inside yourself is,
What do you carry and what must be left behind ?
The threat of negativity attacking
Is a serious threat and it's very real.
That's why a positive mindset is important,
No matter how you feel.
When you get down on yourself
You've called Negativity and it's on the way,
It comes to shut down positive thoughts,
And to keep them quiet all day.
Negativity is like a rash,
Touch it a little and it will surely spread,
It's looking to take up permanent residence,
Inside of your head.
You are the deciding factor
In what wins that war,
Kick negativity out and make the choice
"NO FEAR ANYMORE" !!
