Shady Lady

I KNOW A LADY WHO IS SHADY
SHE ALWAYS STAYS IN THE GRAVY
HER MOUTH STAYS MOVIN', HER WORDS ARE CONFUSING
SHE'LL NEVER LEARN HOW TO STOP MIXING
NON FICTION AND SELF CONFLICTED ADDICTION;

SHE'S TOO HOT FOR THE SHADE
HER TONGUE IS A BLADE
THAT CUTS HER COMIN' AND GOIN';

I HEARD HER RECITING SOME LYRICS
I MOVED CLOSER JUST SO I COULD HEAR THEM
HER RYTHEM WAS BLAND EVEN WITH THE BEAT OF THE BAND
SO THE CROWD STARTED JITTERING AWAY

MAYBE THE SHADY LADY WILL DRINK THE GRAVY
AND SWOLLOW THE BLADES DOWN HER THROAT
THE CROWD WILL COME TO ACTION AND GET
SADISFACTION IN RUNNING SHADY LADY AWAY.

I Am Ready

HERE THEY COME,
NOW BEGINS THE RACE

HOW WILL I TRAP THEM, RAISE THE FLAG TO SURRENDER,
STRANGE HOW PLANS FLOW- DARK CAVERNS

ANGER FILLS ME, SILENCE THE SCREAMS
AWAKENS THE ARMY IN ME.

LEAVES ON LEAVES ON LEAVES COVER ME
CAN'T SEE PLAN COMING INTO ACTION
I AM READY.

Until We Are Togethere Again

Victor Mason, reminds me of what "Jocobs Well" really stands for.

As we thirst and we come to the well to drink, there is one who lowers the bucket
into the well, and pulls up the water that quenches our thirst;

A faithful and humble servant of God,
and so we all have drank at Victors well.

When our homes were broken and in need of repair;
when the grounds of our yards grow wild with despair;
when the locks on our doors no longer protect;
when the maintenance of our buildings starts to loose respect.

There was always one on whom we could rely.
Like a gentle giant, he would reply;
With a strong but soft spoken voice, he answered our calls, fixed our homes
and repaired our walls.

Although it can be said, I knew him well.
A personality of love, a disposition of deep peace, he gave us all his best
from greatest to least.

God bless you Victor Mason, my brother and friend;
I remember our last talk you didn't say much,
all I felt was love when you motioned for my hand to touch.
you being you, strong ready to proceed, I was me, full of drama.

your eye's where closed, you reached out your hand
you spoke of our child hood friends, called each one by name.

I believe they were there with you that day to ensure your journey was smooth
along your way.
I love you so much..... can't wait until I feel that reassuring hand again.

My brother, I know you now keep those pearly gates oiled and opening quite well.

Back In the Day

REMEMBER WHEN WE PLAYED WITH SILLY PUDDY,

COPYING THE SUNDAY CARTOONS.

WE STRECHED IT, ROLL IT, BOUNCE IT,

WE SHOWED IT, TO ALL AND WHAT IT COULD DO.

BOY!, DO I MISS IT.

WONDER IF I CAN I STILL GET IT.

I'LL HAVE FUN SHOWING WHAT IT CAN DO,

PLAY WITH IT, WITH MY NIECE AND NEPHEWS.

I Dont Care What You Do

I don't care what you do
You hurt me once you can't hurt
Me no more. I loved you more
than
Then any one could dream. You
I thought was the marriage
vowel that I would speak on our
weded
Day when our lives will forever
change. Here I am waiting with
faithful breath arms open.
Using my heart as your honor
bage
I don't care about you, I'be
growny
And you will forever be you.
I am no longer fighten of this
women inside of me, because
I was unprepared, I've grown up
to be great at judging a man like
you.
I am through. Look can't you see
her. Here I stand the women I
am.
stronger, wise, beautiful to smart
for you.

A Walk

WALK WITH ME DOWN TO THE SHORE;
ACROSS THE SAND DUNES TO THE
OCEANS DOOR;
HAND IN HAND WE STROLL TOGETHER
WHILE WET SEA SALT
STINGS OUR FACE; STILL WE WALK ALONG
THE BEACH IN SEARCH
OF TREASURES BEYOUND OUR REACH.

AS WAVES LONG BEAT, AGAINST THE
BROKEN ROCKS,
LEAVING ABSTRACT IMPRINTS ON HIGH
CLIFFS HEARTS;
ALLOW THE BATTERED ROCKS TO RELY
ON THE OCEANS WATCHFUL EYES.
LET OUR TWO SOULS STAY WITHIN THE
MIST;
FOR THE OCEANS ROARING SHALL
PRESIST.

SCREAMING TALE OF DISTANT LANDS,
UNSEEN RACKAGE, UNTOLD
SWELLS OF THE OCEANS JOURNEY TO
OUR BACK DOOR.

WALK WITH ME TO THE SHORE LINE
WHERE WE FIRST MET;  EYE TO EYE;
SIT WITH ME, LOOK BEYOUND SEA'S
EDGE, GIVE YOUR SELF TIME TO
HEAR IT'S VOICE, VIEW IT BRILLANCE OF
HOW LIFE ENDURES.
SHE SPEAKS OF LIFE THAT SCREAMS
TRUTHS THROUGH SEA SHELLS
WASHING UP TREASURES THAT KNOW US
WELL;
ON THE SANDS OF HER BELLY.
AS WE FIND OUR PLACE AMONG THE
ROCKS; BROKEN HEAVY WITH LADEN
HEART;
WE TAKE A SEAT AND WATCH THE VIEW;
AS IF STEALING A SUNSET FROM A
FORBIDEN
VIEW.
BRILLIANT INSPIRING BREATH TAKING
GASP AS I LOOK TO YOU, FOR THERE IS
NO
OTHER OCEAN LIKE YOU.

All Gone

NOW I KNOW WERE EVERY CENT WENT

I WENT INSANE WHEN I THOUGHT IT WAS STOLEN

WHAT ARE WE TO DO WHEN OUR YEARS TURN GOLDEN?

ALL THAT WE HAD WORKED FOR

ALL THAT WE HAD SAVED

ALL THAT I WAS TAKING TO MY DYING GRAVE.

NOW I KNOW WHY WE DON'T LIVE AS WE USE TO.

ALL THAT HAS HAPPENED IS BECAUSE OF WISE OLD YOU.

YOU WON'T ASK ANY QUESTIONS
YOU DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

MAYBE IRS WILL GIVE US A DIME OR TWO.

April Night

old friend, it is I who calls you back;
holding your daily routines intact,
feelings, visions, in my minds time machine.

April's ride
no dream

high on the fairest wheel;
in mid air a top of two sphere's,
once again there.

subtle move's I anticipate,
anxiously my body responds;
whispering breath, blows across my ear.

emotions wraps me, your arms place me nearer,
revolving sphere's circle us,
our time, old friend will never pass.

familiar comfort holds me throughout,
old friend, remain with me April's night,
foggy, lonely, sleepless so right;
familiar comfort holds me.

April's delight.

were excitement shaped our lives.
sadness reside now that you're away,
desperation to revisit life we made.

I hold emotions we shared
hats, over coat, jeans
like a that garment you love to wear
my eye's search for a sign, in hopes
that life is reassigned

Last Word

YOU STARTED THIS WORD WAR LAST NIGHT,

THROWING YOUR WORDS LEFT AND RIGHT,

LITERING THE ROOM, I GRABED ME A BROOM

AND SWEEPT ALL THE WORDS OUT OF SIGHT.

IF YOU WANT TO THROW WORDS AT ME,

REMEMBER THAT CERTAIN WORDS STING.

IF YOU BE INCLINDED, TO GIVE ME A PIECE OF YOUR MIND,

REMEMBER, SILENCE IS GOLDEN AND FREE.

Tell Me

HOW DID WE GET HERE?
DEAR SISTER,
I WON'T SAY, I TOLD YOU SO.

JUST CAUSE YOU'RE OLDER,
DEAR SISTER,
I DO HAVE SOME SELF CONTROL.

THERE ARE THINGS THAT I
AM NOT GREAT AT.
WITH THAT SAID,
NOW, ISN'T THAT GROWTH.

SO TELL ME PLEASE,
DEAR SISTER,
FOR IN THE DISTANCE I SEE THE LIFE BOAT.
