Harvest of Delight

Gather and look at how delightful is our union!
With the soil fertile, mother’s touch in the breeze,
We move onward from another year gone past,
Full of victory, full of win
We bow our heads to that which is above all;

With our feet we stand in safety
As our hearts go to the dead,
But our friendship so ever-lasting, joyous and alive
Shall be one which is forever –
A union never-ending.

Black Rose

Black rose on the wall
See the daylight no more
All the hearts are sore
Left black to the core
No need to wish for more

Take it!
And throw it on the floor

Birthplace

Water milk warm
Honey sand so light
The breeze so soothing
Misty air sunshine filled
And your smile is more than just sweet

I am with myself
With seagulls near me
Lost sailors whispering
The sound of waves very calming
And pine trees pivoting in the sea

An escape of a thought
In this domain of freedom
Then crushed by thunder
A rainfall forced rainbow
And this story is salty air carried

Life Like a Ball

It was freezing like hell
When the time was swell
Air was filled with a scent
It was sweet and it meant

Champagne was poured onto our lips
People were dancing, moving their hips
Life used to be better but
Now it didn’t matter

People were trapped in a maze
Unaware they were amazed
No one looked for the way out
Everyone was lost in the crowd

We were freezing like hell
But the time was swell
We spoke about the freedom
Though no one was thankful

People admired the kingdom
But were loaded with boredom
Sometimes life seemed tiring
But the ball kept on inspiring

In Wine All Is Good

White swans are lost
Lost in a low tide with
Their eyes focused
Focused in an upward gaze while
Their heavy feathers muddy so
Muddy black and senile
Are forcing that damn bird and
Another bird go down deep
Down to suffer in black sand

Eyes of men are following
Following the scene with their
Hearts so cold and hollowing they
Are looking silently
Observing silently how the birds
Freeze slowly and vainly
They freeze to death while
Losing all grace their
Beautiful grace

Sedative Sea

The sea is always calling,
Reminding
Of its cold and salty waves
Calming,
Soothing with the breeze,
Lightly sedating.

Until the waves start changing
With the wind storming,
Clouds thundering,
Before life strikes with lighting,
While the scene is not yet darkening
Leaving me detached, confusing,
I wish for the sea to remain calming -
Without its chaos entwining,
Waves overpowering
Silence dissolving and
The tide tangling,
Again and again reflecting
A life in ruins splitting
As serenity in a storm is fading.

But then it comes again
Always calling,
Reminding
Of its cold and salty waves
Calming,
Soothing with the breeze…
Until the waves
Start changing again.

Polarity

Those with two faces
force into silent secrecy
and fight against slavery
leaving me in misery
by creating mazes

Against my will
they banish
then vanish
with once cherished
but I remain still

Now lost in mazes
cannot criticise
nor compromise
I’ve been victimised
by those with two faces

In Memoirs

We will meet again
Through ink
Through scripts
And scenarios
Just like we used to
In bars and parks
We will meet again
In my memoirs

Cut By Half

Remember how the
morning was warm with
its first hint of spring

Under the sky unusually clear
our smiles were wandering
through streets with coffee scent
uplifting the mood and the sun
outsmarting the moon

Your bus arrived early when
I thought how again I am
walking you home half-way

Only half-way because the
day was Sunday and
everything closed half-early
in Luxembourg and the
buses too arrived early bringing
nostalgia too quickly

so the day was cut by half
half-early yet the
sun was outsmarting the moon
too soon

Aftertaste

It happened a couple of days ago
When shivers overtook my body
Though not present anymore
I sense they will return

A walk through wilderness
I would not go there with others
Black coffee on the bench
Jukebox melodies uplifting the mood

Absinthe so smoothing
Heart like a thrilling drum beat
Strong spirits and a chess board
I appreciated his patience

A cigarette lit way
Through a late night walk
Then a cinnamon scent
And the aftertaste on his lips

Not only the touch
The blue eyes too
Ocean deep voice
And the rhythm of the night

I hoped the moment would last
But morning arrived
Though not present anymore
I sense shivers will return
