Ode To a Tear

Eyes of a million
Shedding tears of a billion
Tears I know not of yet
Some have all ready paid, while other still remain in debt
There’s this burning, aching, feared, pain
That tightens the throat and before you know it, your pouring rain
In the middle of the night
It pours the hardstand even in silence you’re caught in a battle you still fight.

In your mind you can hear
That pitiful, dragging, lonely sound you want to fear
Your starting to need the pain you know best
Your falling way to slow but you love what you’ve become, a mess
You watch as your drops of tears fall into an overflowed tub.

And you let yourself plunge in those salty, sweet, tears that fill your tub
And you wrap yourself in your towel of lies
It’s sad because you hate the living but your afraid to die
You’re so caught up in the pain; you find no reason to breathe
And emotions and feelings start’s to leave.

And all that’s left of you is an empty, dark, hole
Where another lost soul
Will shed a tear same as yours.
