Tea Time

Smoke swirls, kettle cries
Tea is poured, and guests arrive
It is quite boring

Tea is hot, mouth burns
Cry out in pain, and eyes turn
How I hate tea~time

My tongue, sore and tight
Mother says to be polite
That I've not been taught

Sakura Blossoms

On the bridge I wait, my hands clasped
Something on my mind as time passes
The beauty of the pink little petals~float
Dance in the air~as does my heart
I see your smile, I could see it from miles away
On the other side of the bridge a petal falls on your face
You laugh and I laugh with you, even though we make no sound
I feel light as warm air flowing with the breeze
Just the crinkle by your eyes makes my heart feel free
I take quiet steps across the wooden bridge
And your hand travels on the rail as you do the same
Our hands collide as we mirror them
Only our kiss can make the petals stop~in my mind

Past the Mountains, Home

Travelling with hopes of warmth and comfort at the end of the journey,
but never quite sure of what is yet to come, and of what is around the corner.
Always wondering, weighing the options and inevitable possibilities.
Understanding that you may never reach home, is the hardest weight to bear.
Morning dew settles over the familiar grass as you take the last few steps.
Home is close, just within reach now.
No longer an unthinkable dream that seems so far away.
The trials you've had to face are all worth while to see the same red sun begin to rise.
The wait is over, the journey up until this moment has come to an end.
Now are you ready for another to begin?

Daisy Field

A cruel world that I have been brought into
One full of prejudices and judgmental stares
Of prying eyes that wait in the dark for you to slip up
And you feel as though stuck in an infinite chasm
Of your failures and mistakes
Never able to forget your faults and your insecurities
But somewhere in the far corners of this world
In the hidden places and holds just out of reach
A helpful spirit reaches out a hand to pull you up
To help heal your wounds and erase your sorrows
They take you to a special place
A place not unlike any you've ever been before
One of hope and love and acceptance
One that welcomes you wholly for who you are
They take you to a field of daisies
I've been taken to that field of daisies

Forgotten Family

I have been there once before,
Yet it can't be just a memory from my past,
But only in my dreams and that I am sure.
For it were, not only in my mind it would have last.

So red and gold were the leaves of autumn,
They are falling sweetly still or so it seems.
A picture painted in my head, and yet so vivid.
If I could feel it, would it still be called a dream?

Their laughing faces fill my heart with happiness,
And now all they seem to do is fight.
How can I show them now what true love is?~
When I have tried and tried and tried with all my might.

The Thought of Missing You

As I walk with an air of sadness
Down the stone cobble paths I've walked before
Only now, as I am alone, in the moonlight
Without your tender hand for warmth

Something new has begun today
Although I can't seem to recall the word
This feeling my heart when you're not with me
I know our love's sparked embers in the earth

How come I can still call to mind your lips on my own
Why do I feel as though a piece of me is missing
Its as though you are right here beside me, guiding me
Even though I know...those times have passed
