Justice

They say Justice is a woman
That men should fear her wrath
Nothing will make them tremble
More than hearing her laugh

She is going to make them know
That she should be feared
They will ask for mercy
And then hide in their beard

But Justice will be kind
She will not take their head
But will make them suffer mentally
And wish that they were dead

Pain will not be physical
She will lead a merry dance
But in the end of everything
She always gives a final chance

Stop the Abuse

Why do we let the people who supposedly love us, abuse us?
Abuse has many forms but the most insidious is verbal
Physical pain is forgotten but the spoken word has a great impact on our minds
We are constantly put down, told we are useless, nasty things said by someone who says they love us.
Abuse is not only against women and children
Many men are also in abusive situations
Many of us feel it is all our fault, that we caused it
Any type of abuse should be addressed, we need to stop hiding it and let the world know that we have a worth and that we don't deserve to be constantly hurt by those who say they love us.
We need to stand up for ourselves and our families, but we also need to help friends
who we suspect are in abusive relationships
We need to make a stand and stop the hurting.
I know of what I write because I lived it as did my family.
I was one of the lucky ones.
Others are often not as fortunate
We need to make a difference and make abuse a thing of the past.

This is national Abuse Awareness Month
Make a difference in someone's life!

Country Song

My romance has become a country song
Everything I feel has turned out wrong
I thought that you were the one
You were my moon and stars and sun

Now I sit and weep
I am losing a lot of sleep
Just because you're not there
That you really do not care

Why don't you give me hope?
It makes it hard to cope
I just keep wondering why
You want to make me cry

I thought we had a good thing
Not that I wanted a ring
I just want you in my life
I don't want to be your wife

We have a lot to share
A lot of interests there
We like the same things
My heart had taken wings

You search for me in a crowd
It makes me laugh out loud
You smile when you come to me
I know that it should really be

Please show me that you care
You know I would go anywhere
With you I am not shy
You are my special guy

Richard

I wish that I could write
Like my son the poet
I'm just an amateur
And well I know it

I search the site
And there again
He has written something wonderful
With his amazing pen

Wish that I might write
As he has done
I know I am extremely proud
Of my wonderfully talented son

Dedicated to my son Richard poet extraordinaire
I am so glad that all my children are different
I can love you all for different reasons
Mom

Candle Glow

A candle needs a strong match to make the wick burn
Some flames are not long to live, needing another match to give it life again
The flame can burn hot and strong giving a great lovely light
Or it can flicker and die with no chance to achieve its brightness
All the more reason to have more matches handy to make sure the candle light is strong
One does not want to see a weak light
Once firmly lit the candle will flame to its end
Oh to enjoy the glow!

Queen of Hearts

The queen of hearts
She made some tarts
Because she had no suitor

The knave of hearts
He stole the tarts
Because he was a looter

He took them all
And left the ball
Going at a run

The queen she cried
The knave had lied
What did I see in the bum?

Forever

Think it over carefully
Before you become a lover
Are you there for the long haul
Or are you just going to hover

Do you want it all
The inner soul and the outer face
Are you for real
Will you hold out in the race

You have to want the good and the bad
There can be no reservations
A love forever is what is hoped for
The one person who will love with no hesitations

Our goals are going in the same direction
But are you really going to be there in the end
Will you love without any holding back
Not just a lover but a forever friend

Wordsmith

You write such pretty words
About a lot of things you feel
The things you write are wonderful
Your words make them sound so real

A magical trip, a fantasy world
So many thoughts and places
You make them sound so very true
One can even see the faces

Without the wonder of your words
Our lives would be so dull
The things you write for us to read
Make our lives so very much more full

Dismissed

You don't listen to my sad words
Certainly can't understand the hurt inside of me
Nothing matters but what you feel and want
You hide in a world of emptiness
Repeated all day long in the news broadcasts that you devour
Words that form your reality a far distance from real life
My feelings are not of any importance to you, after all I am just an emotional woman
What I want and say do not fit into what you want
So you dismiss my words and also dismiss me
My feelings are nothing to you but an irritation to be pooh poohed away
As if I were a child with not an important thought in my head
Nothing to be done by me now, I've tried but can't break into your cosy cocoon
Your chrysalis will never hatch, it has died in the nothingness of your soul
So I will keep looking for someone who will recognize the worth in me
And I can then finally know what it is like to have someone appreciate who I am
He will be a kind and loving person who is going to mean the world to me
And you will be sitting in your empty shell alone

Memories of Bob

Four years have slipped by
In the blink of an eye
We know you are gone
It does seen so wrong

You were still a young man
And we did all we can
Could not keep you here
But your spirit is very near

Our memories are strong
Of one who could do no wrong
We miss you each day
Since you have gone away

Some day we will meet again
We will remember till then
God took you away
Now we wait for our day
