Kenneth J Thompson Poem
A Rose with No Thorn
In the Garden, the bouquet of life
There bloomed a rose whose beauty caught my eye
Incomparable is this rose’s design
Unlike the others, she is not the prickling kind
I know they say that every rose has its thorn
But here blooms the exception, of the spirit she is born
One of a kind, the rarest in form
For she is a rose with no thorn
Oh what a fragrance, so lovely and fair
A scent of sincerity sweeps through the air
A pristine beauty from the realms up above
For she is the flower primeval of love
And as I bask in her blossoms of compassion
I find I am fashioned by love that’s everlasting
And in my heart she’ll always be adorned
For she is a rose with no thorn
Though weeds, thorns and thistles have tried to choke her
The rain has wet her; the sun has even scorched her
But she’ll not wither, neither will she wilt
For she is rooted in the love that God has tilled
Amidst great turmoil, never to be foiled
Arrayed in glory that could never ever toil
One of a kind, yes the rarest in form
For she is a rose with no thorn

Kenneth J Thompson Poem
There is no pill prescribed to heal
This agony and the pain I feel
Please stop the torture, administer the cure
The antidote is in a love that is yours
Cause you’re my daily recommended allowance
I know that my love was beyond all tolerance
But I need you for my development
Cause you’re my required supplement
A dose of your love three times a day
Is what my doctor prescribed me to take
If that don’t do he said take four
If that's not suffice, he said add one more
And don’t you worry if I overdose
Cause I don’t mind the state of comatose
But if you see me start to shake and shiver
Give me your love, you’re my soul’s elixir
Vitamin U, girl you’re my medicine
Vitamin U, open up and let me in

Kenneth J Thompson Poem
Girl my business is your pleasure
A proposition to do whatever
Create a merger sealed with our hearts
That is non-negotiable once the pleasure starts
Cause I will kiss you here and there
This transaction of my love will declare
That I’ll fulfill all your wishes
Cause baby when I pleasure you I’m taking care of business
When I’m loving you, when I’m hugging you
And thrilling you with my kisses
When I hold you tight and squeeze you through the night
I’ll be fulfilling all of your wishes
You see your pleasure is my business
It’s a venture to what you’re missing
So baby when you feel that notion
To incorporate with me, I second that emotion
Cause I will love you from head to toe
The things I’m going to do, I can’t disclose
But be assured girl you don’t want to miss this
Cause baby when I’m loving you, I’m taking care of business
When I’m loving you, when I’m hugging you
And thrilling you with my kisses
When I hold you tight and squeeze you through the night
I’m taking care of my business

Kenneth J Thompson Poem
Girl your love is like Picasso’s work of art
For U etched your prints into the canvas of my heart
And they’re forever branded in the walls of my soul
Timeless as Rembrandt and Michelangelo’s
But I know you’re unlike any of these artist’s
Cause on my heart is where your art is
Here upon my heart U left the evidence
a perfect picture of love’s testament
Here upon my heart U know U etched your prints
and U hold all precedence
Because this love is meant
Girl your love is like the stars that shine so bright
Sweet impressions of affection shining in heavens delight
They’re forever etched into the galaxies of time
Just like the prints U left on this old heart of mine
But I know that love’s not written in the stars
Cause the love U wrote is written in my heart
Here upon my heart U left the evidence
and your touch is so eminent
Here upon my heart U know U etched your prints
and it’s of no coincidence
This love is heaven sent
