Car Troubles

My car is old and fallin apart
Sometimes it doesn't even want to start
It has a hood the color blue
I really wish for something new
A lotto win, a ton of cash
I'd buy a new one in a flash
Maybe with a little luck
It could be a pickup truck

Ode To Greatness

The stockings where hung by the chimney with care
In hope that St. Nick would soon be there
One the greatest poems of all time
I hope one day to add one of mine
On the list with all the other great poets
I'll keep trying, till everyone knows it
Ill find the words, ill find the rhymes
To make a memory to last all times

Hallmark Breakup

I wrote you this card to break you the news
By the time your done reading, I'll have broken up with you
You lied and you cheated, you were dishonest
We had a great love, but you just went and tossed it
So while you were cheating, you didn't have a clue
I went and replaced you, I found someone new
She's sweet and nice, and a whole lot cuter
Plus she don't star in porn, on every guys computer
So now its all over, this is the end
I would say I'm sorry, but this isn't pretend
I should of never given, my loving heart to you
Let me make it clear, WE ARE THROUGH

Red Head

Tonight I talked to a beautiful redhead
She had me hanging on every word she
said
I'm not trying to make her mine
A real good friend would be just fine
She has eyes bright as fire
And a smile that can inspire
Our little talk didn't last long
But it rang my bell and bashed the gong
Talking, laughing was just nice
Wouldn't mind doing it twice
Hope she knows and understands
I well aware she has a man
I'm not trying to cut in
I'll sit back and sip some gin
She is fun and she is cool
But I won't be a fool
Just throwing round some words for fun
Quickly knocking out some witty puns

Country Boy

Backwoods and homegrown
Country boy is how I'm known
Cowboy boots and faded jeans
A little rough around the seams
Not a fan of foreign cars
I drink Jack while at the bars
I say yes ma'am and hey y'all
I do some huntin every fall
A 30-30 or 30.06
Thats how we do it in these sticks
Lord I love some good moonshine
Y'all city folks can keep your wine
Your opinion just don't matter
To me, its all just useless chatter
Heaven knows I'm just a country boy
But my life is full of joy

Hallmark Southern Funny 1

Our love it grows like southern kudzoo
Everywhere I go I'm reminded of you
In all of the faces and some empty places
And even at the dirt track races
But the time has come for something much bigger
Getting you a ring, its time I figure

The Dream

I finally slept, had a foreshadowing dream
Where I met a gorgeous little country queen
Eyes so clear and full of power
I think it could be my finest hour
I can't recall her color of hair
But I have my dreams to take me back there
She was dressed in blue and tight denim jeans
This dream wasn't an ordinary scene
A tight fit shirt that showed her figure
Maybe a "b" cup, I don't need bigger
When I first saw her, she was walking a horse
My heart skipped a beat, got knocked off course
I had been wandering with a motley group
And I got lucky, she joined our troop
A desire for life, a desire to kiss
All I knew, was that her I would miss
I'm glad she joined us, saved me the pain
When I finally kissed her, it started to rain
It was soft and tender, smooth like velvet
If there is better, I've never felt it
Are our dreams based on real life
I really hope so, for she's my future wife
One little thing I think you should know
A passing thought before I go
This one kiss, it gives me hope
That true love is out there, for this dope

What She Wants

There's a girl named *blank* with fire red
hair
She makes all the boys stop and stare
But little boys ain't what she's looking for
A country man she hopes to score
Riding round in a pickup truck
Hopin that they don't get stuck

Hallmark Card 1

I'm looking back and I have to surmise
It was the day we met, when I looked into your eyes
I got completely lost in a hypnotic stare
I was in so deep, I fell out of my chair
You took my hand, asked if I was alright
I still can't believe how I fell that night
I've continued to fall everyday since
Now we live in a house with a white picket fence
One more thing I want you to know
I truly mean it when I say I love you so

Dark Thoughts

Up all night, once again
Too many thoughts, where to begin
Do I start with broken trust
Or the ones that involve lust
How about my daughters, that I miss
Or my ex, and our lost bliss
Falling in a deep dark hole
One of doubt, no self control
How I wish I had a soul to sell
Too many secrets I'll never tell
I've seen things that would make you cringe
Life ain't easy out on the fringe
Another days torture test
I'll rise above, but not like the rest
